Jace glared at the gagged woman who was staring at the phone that had been ringing non stop for the past ten minutes.

"Let her answer the call," he ordered Suresh, who was with the woman in the room.

Suresh signaled to someone who was in the shadows and the person stepped forward to remove the gag from Lisa's mouth.

He reached out to swipe the phone which had started ringing again, then stepped back into the shadow.

As soon as the call was connected, an all too familiar angry voice sounded from the speaker.

"Where the hell are you? I've been waiting for you at Peaches for the past two hours."

Lisa didn't want to say anything but when she saw the expression of the man towering over her with eyes like that of an executioner, she understood he wanted her to respond, so she opened her sore mouth but nothing came out and closed it again.
