In the evening, Yoichi and Mina once again quietly left Konoha.
This time, if Yoichi summons a beast that is difficult to tame, he plans to give up the remaining two random summons and instead summon magic goats to add some to his breeding grounds.
Such randomness is too hard to bet on, having good luck once was already quite fortunate.
Using the same location and plan as before, Yoichi makes all the preparations and then stands on the edge of a cliff and loudly calls out, "Summon from another world, come forth!"
Despite the embarrassing phrase, after Yoichi finishes the summoning chant, a summoning circle illuminated by purple light appears, accompanied by a thick fog.
Yoichi quickly retreats and soon hears a bear's roar coming from the summoning circle.
"A bear?"
There isn't the same kind of oppressive fear as when King Ghidorah appeared last time, and since Yoichi is hiding in a safe place, he opens his superpower roulette to check the summoned creature.
[Earth Bear (Growth Stage)]: A legendary pet of the Earth Goddess, born favorite of the earth, capable of rapidly restoring energy when standing on the ground. It can control its size, with adult Earth Bears able to grow up to fifty meters.
It can freely control gravity, with adult Earth Bears capable of manipulating up to twenty times the gravity. Its innate ability is the Beast King Roar Bomb.
(This Earth Bear is only 600 years old. When it reaches 1,000 years, it will be considered an adult. At 2,000 years, it has a chance to receive the blessing of the Earth Goddess. Feeding it energy-rich food can also help the Earth Bear grow rapidly.)
(If you wish to tame it, it's best to subdue it first.)
[Note: The summoned creature has been recorded; it can be summoned again or replaced.]
"Earth Bear?"
Once the fog clears, Yoichi looks towards the summoning circle and sees a brown-black bear standing over two meters tall, with a patch of earth-yellow fur on its belly.
Although it's only in its growth stage, this Earth Bear already possesses considerable strength. Currently, it can expand its body size to over twenty meters, barely capable of release a Beast King Roar Bomb, and control gravity up to ten times.
Taming the Earth Bear as a summoning beast would be quite nice, but Yoichi measures his strength against the Earth Bear's and isn't very confident.
However, this summon fits the limit of his abilities. Giving up without trying isn't in Yoichi's nature.
With only half an hour to subdue the Earth Bear and make it sign a summoning contract before it's sent back, Yoichi decides to come out of hiding and approach the bear.
————————————
Half an hour later.
The cliff has collapsed nearly a hundred meters, the ground is littered with huge bear paw pits, protruding stone pillars, and ground scorched by intense flames.
Yoichi lies on the ground, powerlessly receiving treatment from Mina; calling it treatment is a bit of a stretch, as it mainly involves him biting her arm to alleviate his injuries before heading to the Konoha Hospital for further treatment.
After a while, Yoichi's injuries have significantly healed, and he sits up.
Mina asks with concern, "Lord, how do you feel? Do you need to drink more?"
Yoichi shakes his head, "No need, the rest of the injuries should heal by tomorrow without needing to visit the hospital."
Although it's only been a few days since Godzilla was sealed inside his body, Yoichi seems to have inherited Godzilla's healing ability. After treatment with Mina's blood, he expects to recover from his injuries after resting for the night.
Standing up, Yoichi walks over to the Earth Bear, which he had put a great effort into subduing.
The bear is not in much better shape than Yoichi, with large burn marks covering its body, its previously smooth fur scorched, and several injuries and broken bones.
This was because the Earth Bear was unfamiliar with the ninja way of fighting, allowing Yoichi to dodge its attacks several times and even deceive it to dodge the Beast King Roar Bomb.
Otherwise, the outcome could have been different, especially since the Earth Bear's gravity control ability posed a significant challenge for Yoichi.
After approaching the Earth Bear, Yoichi squats down and asks, "What's your name?"
After subduing the Earth Bear and signing a summoning contract, the bear spat out a light orb. Once the orb entered Yoichi's body, he found he could communicate with the Earth Bear.
The Earth Bear, named Gates, was sleeping in the Monster Mountains one moment and suddenly found itself here the next.
The light orb was a soul contract used by Gates, allowing the master and servant to sense each other's locations and communicate through their souls.
However, once Gates reaches adulthood, it will be able to speak human languages.
"Let's rest a bit before heading back. I'll find a medical ninja to treat your injuries; she's one of my people. Later, Mina will teach you some basics about the ninja world."
"Roar"
Gates roars softly, its face full of grievance. Both were in a state where they couldn't stand up; seeing this, Yoichi pulls out a leg of a magic goat for Gates to eat and replenish its strength.
Then, Gates lies on the ground, absorbing the earth's power to recover its strength, soon covered in a faint yellow glow. Yoichi sits nearby, waiting for Gates to recover.
With nothing else to do, Mina curiously asks, "Yoichi-sama, is it your summoning beast now?"
"Yes, it's an Earth Bear named Gates. It has intelligence similar to ours but doesn't know much about the ninja world," Yoichi explains. "Mina, tell Gates more about the ninja world when you return. Oh, and order more food, at least 700 pounds of meat a day."
Mina is shocked at the amount, "That much?"
Yoichi helplessly replies, "You saw Gates' size; 700 pounds isn't much for it. I'll give you ten million ryō tomorrow, and that money can be used for Gates' food expenses for now."
Mina recalls Gates' twenty-meter stature, realizing 700 pounds of meat isn't much for it.
After a while, Gates finishes absorbing the earth's power. Although its wounds haven't fully healed, it has regained enough strength to walk back. Otherwise, Yoichi couldn't carry it back, nor did he have the chakra to summon it back.
The two and the bear slowly head back to Konoha. With only two days left before the random summon ability disappears, Yoichi doesn't plan on attempting any new summons. Having acquired a Godzilla and an Earth Bear, his luck could be considered quite fortunate!
