章 81: Chapter 81 The Battle

The scream that created trauma for thousands revibrated through the cave towards outside. The fighters outside who were almost taken out looked towards the sound. The Fairy tail members began to worry for their team member inside and the civilians began to shake remembering the trauma they felt the last time the roar sounded with some coming to the realisation of the kind of stupidity they had done.
Karna at the time looked at the enchantments come to life and the process being started. Karna was able to read the enchantments and found out what they did. If the enchantments were not there, just like in cannon Deliora would have died because of being trapped in the ice for so many years. This would have been the fate of all the other demons as well and unlike the time with Deliora where Ur had used runes, the other iced demons seemed to be made with the life of the caster itself. So many wizards sacrificed their life, only for the victims to be ungrateful and demand their death by their release not even considering what would happen if they failed to defeat it.
And among them the biggest egoistical asshole of them all Leon who wanted to do this shit. Karna was sure that this was not done without their knowledge as those enchantments would have taken months to cast. The enchantments were a combination magic used to combine the lives of all the other demons into Deliora, essentially healing all the injuries that would have killed it by now. While at the same time, the enchantments were also combining the energy of the sacrificed demons and giving them to Deliora essentially making him stronger. This was Leon's aim; he did not want to be stronger than the other ice wizard throughout the centuries by killing the demons one by one. He wants to prove that he was the strongest by creating a monster that combines all the other demons and then besting it in battle.
You know what after this, I'm going to add a few punishments of my own creation in the mix for Leon.
As I watched, cracks stated to appear on the now freed Deliora and suddenly a light began to shine from the cracks and black rock like formations began to come out of t, acting like some sort of adhesive healing the cracks and making it stronger, in some places crystals started to grow and in some places metallic claws.
Damn, can't believe I'm saying this, but he looks similar to doomsday. Thankfully he does not have that power of adaptation. From what I am sensing, he now has a few low elemental abilities which actually does not do anything. But his original abilities of strengthening had increased to a ridiculous amount. If he's right, Deliora can destroy the island in a single punch.
That's bad.

For the first time ever, he used the rune in battle. He shot an FRJ arrow which with the help of the pierce rune pierced easily through the temple to the sky. He had also added wind element along with a large amount of magic that made it so fast that even with his own perception, he only saw a line of light acting as an afterimage because of its speed. But it will do its job. He sensed the arrow go so high that it almost reached outside the atmosphere. But he cannot allow that, so he reduced its speed. Then he immediately jumped on top of Deliora and activated teleportation, teleporting them both to where the arrow was right now. 100 kilometres away from the surface of the earth.
And right now, both of us are freely falling with neither of us with the ability to fly. And being away from everyone makes it easy to use the full power without caring about anything else. I knew that I should end it as fast as possible as I knew I got a maximum of 2 min before both of us hits the earth. I immediately send a signal using the emblem on my hand to warn Cana so as to not have a repeat of what happened last time.

Karna felt the power explode from inside of him again. But this time it flowed more easily, more like it learned from last time and is right now adapting to be more refined. He was also feeling sort of detached from everything around him as well. This must be what's hiding his presence right now from almost everything unless with the use of sight. But Karna felt like he can even hide from sight if he managed to train to unlock it.
But there is no time for that now.
He immediately moved to the back of Deliora who was disoriented at the sudden change of space. It was thin before freezing and while in ice. But the absorption of the demons had made it really buff, essentially reducing its motor ability. Thereby accessing of its backside. His back was filled with spikes, but Karna held on to it while releasing energy that began attacking him. he immediately used his other hand to get a lot of MP potions and chugged it to maximise his MP for his attack.
There are no records of a demon slayer, and he never found records of death slayer. So, his attacks only included the use of bombardment of energy into the enemies to completely erase them. This wastes a lot of MP and actually drains him completely after the attack. But he knew he can't hold back now and think about finding ways to create an attack form later.
Deliora feeling the destruction of his body and soul began to fight back. But the conditions which Karna had him face made every act of defiance have no effect.
Karna at the time was able to see how his attack effects demons. Right now, his crude way of attack will only work if he manages to cover the entire demon with the death energy. This was a race against time. Whether he completes the process before hitting the ground or dire hitting the ground. If he completes the process, the demon will be completely destroyed with a chance of him surviving. But if he fails both the demon and he will die but the demon will be reborn later as the ritual has made its soul more stronger.
As the ground came rushing up to him, Karna began to think about the chances of his survival.
