章 20: Villainous Flower Or Familial Weeds (1/3) || Reyin

Hael had a number.

A dark brand against the lace-color of his skin. A single number 1, and there was not a scarred slash across the middle like in the other ones I had seen. As I rolled up the bed this morning, I considered the two rogues Hael had killed who'd owned similar brands on their necks. 

It had puzzled me for a while, but I'd finally deduced that those men must've been in the organization with Hael despite having not worn a uniform. Perhaps there were various uniforms worn exclusively while on missions to take lives. 

If my theory was correct, why would Hael have been eradicating members of his own organization? Why did he belong to such a malicious group in the first place? And he'd even declared his parents had given up on him. Could that have been true? Hael's parents had always doted on us with love, our separate families practically one.
