"Her mate is with her, so what exactly are you going to do?" Amusement laced his tone, and Valerie sat back in her chair, still worried until Ashley returned, looking exhausted.

"You look like you ran a marathon," Valerie observed aloud. Ashley yawned and sat back in her chair with Idris beside her.

"I've slept a lot, but I don't know why I still feel so tired," she yawned again. Valerie and Idris were disturbed, but Alpha Denzel was smiling from ear to ear.

"It wouldn't be bad to stop by the pack hospital for a checkup, who knows?" He shrugged. Ashley stared suspiciously at him.

"Denzel, if you know something, out with it. We are in-laws, so no need to worry about offending me or anything like that," Ashley said. Denzel replied.
