IMOGEN'S POV

When I reached the hospital, my mind in shambles and for good reason too. I wondered why I was so worried about Elijah.

This man had put me through so much. But despite everything, I still cared. I hated it. But it didn't stop that the feeling and I hated it.

Entering the building, I approached the front desk.

"Hello," I stammered. "My name is Imogen. I was called and told that my husband was rushed here. "

The receptionist who was busy with some paper work looked up at me, her eyes tired but kind. There was a flicker of recognition when our eyes met.

It was like she recognized me.

"What's your husband's name, ma'am?" she asked, clearing following protocol.

With the scandal that had followed me since becoming Elijah's wife, it would be no surprise that I would be a face people wouldn't forget so soon.

"Elijah," I replied, the name feeling strange on my tongue. "Elijah Rossi."
