Harper wanted to burst into flames. Half from the embarrassing drunken episode that this shameless smartass was bringing up yet again, half from the look in his eyes that made her whole body burn.

And those flames only flared higher when his other hand reached for the coffee table … for not the chocolate mousse, but the extra can of whipped cream sitting right beside it instead.

Which, quite incidentally, she noticed to be sugar-free. She wondered what that could possibly imply about his plan, though the brief curiosity was quickly gone from her head when he bent over, brushing his lips over the shell of her ear and giving her a new wave of delicious tingles.

"Speaking of another thing that I always wanted to do to you," he whispered. "I've been waiting to try this since the day you licked that damned ice cream off of your beautiful face."
