Lucien observed the battlefield intently. Auden had successfully defeated one of the sandworms, but it was Rosetta who had truly impressed him. She had taken down two of the creatures with ease.

In her presence, the sandworms seemed almost immobilized, as if obeying her will under the influence of a purple aura that surrounded her. With blinding speed, she slashed through the creatures, shattered them and their bodies turned to sand.

Now he understood why they were called sandworms.

Scanning the battlefield, Lucien's eyes found another intriguing sight: Tristan, his opponent from Damien's first duelist championship. Tristan, too, was enveloped in an aura, but he was white. It looked like mana to Lucien.
