In a train carriage heading to Enzo City, Z army gathered on their way back from the fortress city of Naraki.

The carriage rented by Z army was quiet. All surviving members of Z army squad fourth just sat quietly in their seats, resting.

"Out of the 30 members of squad four who departed, only 13 managed to survive. Is this the life of a mercenary?" Ren muttered as he looked towards his comrades.

Although some died while hunting monsters, most of them died in battle against waves of monsters.

The wave of Hell Hound monsters is still ongoing, but the struggle will be continued by the first squad led by Ichika, the captain of the first team. Meanwhile, the fourth team can return to Enzo City to rest.

Ren's first mission ended just like that. This would only be the beginning of Ren's journey as a mercenary. Since he decided to walk this path, he would encounter more situations like this.
