The unforgiving sun mercilessly scorched a landscape of shattered aspirations. As far as the eye could reach, a metropolis sprawled, a concrete jungle fossilized by time. Once symbols of human ambition, skyscrapers now stood as jagged teeth, crumbling and worn. The glass exteriors reflected a distorted sky, while broken windows stared like empty sockets.
Nature, an unyielding insurgent, had initiated its reclamation. Thick vines, resembling cables, entwined the sides of buildings, their vibrant tendrils interlacing with fractured concrete slabs. Twisted and defiant trees burst through collapsed roadways, their roots prying asphalt from the ground. In some areas, entire structures had been devoured by vegetation, their outlines discernible through the uneven, lush mounds they had become.
