At a cafe, filled with murmur of conversation, clinking of cups, sat Nari, in a secluded area next to the window. She looked calm and relaxed as she slowly sipped from her coffee with a tablet in her hand, scrolling through it.
She only had a light makeup on, accentuating her beauty
Several people mesmerised by the actress's beauty gaped at her while some of them took pictures of her.
Nari did not mind the look or camera, she was so used to it and sometimes she would even wave at them with a small smile of lips.
She raised her head to look at the door anytime she heard the door open. She had been waiting for some minutes for Yein a co-actress and she was slowly loosing her patience.
Yein is known for always being late so it was not anything new to her, but today she is just extremely late.
The murmur in the cafe suddenly got louder as the door opens. Nari raised her head and saw Yein with all smiles as she walked in, bowing to people who gawked at her.
He red wavy hair let loose down her shoulder to her back. Wearing a sleeveless jumpsuit and heels, walking in bold steps towards her.
She gave Nari a big smile reaching the table she was seated.
"You're late Yein". Nari said looking at her watch.
Yein grin widely.
"I'm sorry hun, I had to help mom sort out some new collections she got". Yein said apologetically.
Nari rolled her eyes watching Yein flaunt her riches.
A waitress walked to them and bowed.
"Welcome Miss Yein". She said with a small smile. "Do you want to go in?".
Yein had a special private room, just for her in the cafe, since it belonged to her brother.
"Yes I'd love to, come on Nari". Yein called as she walked behind the waitress headed to her private room.
Nari took her bag on the table, strolling behind them.
As they entered the lobby for all the private rooms, Nari stared open mouthed as they walked through the luxurious lobby.
They entered the room which had a couch and an expensive small coffee table in the middle. The room looked simple but expensive.
A small chandelier hanging above the ceiling lighting up the room.
"Do you need anything?". The waitress asked as the ladies sat on the couch.
Yein looked at Nari who shook her head and turned back to the waitress.
"We're fine, by the way I haven't seen my brother for quite a while". She placed her bag on the table, crossing her long legs as she stared at the waitress.
"Mr Yejoon traveled abroad few days ago". Yein nodded and waved at the maid who bowed at the ladies before leaving the room.
Choi Yein, we'll known actress, the most popular one in the country, the daughter of one of the top 5 successful business women, Choi Minhee, a famous chef.
Yein started acting at a young age and had managed to build her fame all those years, through the help of her family.
Being the only girl and youngest at 28 among her two siblings, she gets anything she wants.
She had taken quick liking into Nari and they became very close friends.
"So you wanted to talk, about what?". She asked as she turned to Nari with a small smile.
Nari sighed and leaned on the couch.
"Elvis told me his grand aunt wanted to see me and I didn't even know he had one". Nari rubbed the space between her brows, worried.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you that the old man has a sister, she's really nice, I only saw her when I was younger and she was so nice". Yein recalled when she first met Seo Jiho the most nicest old lady she had ever come across.
Nari sighs again.
"Do you have any idea about something she would like?, I have to get her a gift, first impression matters". Yein looked at Nari and chuckled.
"Just because my family is close with the Park's doesn't actually mean I know everything about them, and besides she resides abroad so I don't know much about her". Yein relaxes on the couch and took out her phone from her bag.
"I mean you can get her something you feel she would like, or something you feel is worth something". Yein suggested.
Nari nodded and pursed her lips.
"By the way, did you know Eunwoo was invited for Joe's launching event?". Nari asked as she raised her body which leaning on the chair.
Yein nodded.
"I do, i was also invited but I declined, I'm not a huge fan of those boring events".
Which meant she was the only on uninvited, her lips tightened in anger, what was she expecting, of course an influential actress like Yein would be invited, but why was Eunwoo…
"I heard Joshua helped her get in".
Yein looked up from her phone, her brows raised in disgust.
"Joshua..?". She burst out laughing at Nari's outburst. "Did you just say Joshua?..". She looked at Nari for a while and sighed, dropping her phone on the table.
"Joshua doesn't have the power to pull such strings Nari, just because he's popular doesn't mean he can do something that big, I mean how could someone who's not in the VIP seat pull such strings, are you really into such rumors?". Yein scoffed and crossed her hand in front of her chest.
Nari thought about it and Yein made a lot of sense, when she checked the set up of the event, Joshua was not in the front seat.
This left her thinking so hard.
"Do you think Eunwoo sold her body?". Yein shook her head.
"Selling her body would not even make it possible for her to model for the Joe, if it was not because of my background trust me I wouldn't have been invited, so it must have been someone from a higher background". Yein placed her hand on her jaw as if thinking and suddenly snapped her finger.
"What if someone who knows about you and Eunwoo and obviously rich has something to do with this?..I'm just saying".
Nari thought deeply at what Yein said, who is that 'someone', she eyes widened as only one person came through her mind.
"Do you think it's Chaeyoung?".
Yein shrugged.
"Do you think she is?". She retorted and smirked.
Nari was about speaking up when her phone phone lit up, with a message appearing on the screen.
She picked up her phone and checked the message from the unknown number.
-meet me up at my studio in 10 minutes'.
Nari knew exactly who the message was from, she frowned and showed the message to Yein.
She chuckled as she read the message.
"You're definitely not going to have a good relationship with your mother-in-law".
Nari jaw clenched in anger.
"Nari, you have to step up your game, you know something that can shut Mrs Park forever so why do you keep acting like this, I would never be in your shoes, but if I was, I wouldn't let this happen to me, I mean you just did the family a huge favor so come on Nari..". Yein's smile slowly faded as she stared at Nari in disgust. "Stop being a bitch". She said through gritted teeth.
Her face remained expressionless for a while until a smile crept on her face again.
Nari cringed at Yein's behavior, but she was not surprised, Yein sometimes acts like a psycho.
She took her bag from the table and stood up.
"I should take my leave now, and I'll make sure to do as you have said". Nari eyes darkened , she was definitely ready for that old Karen,
Yein raised a brow at Nari, looking lost.
"I didn't say anything Nari, I just told you what I would do if I were to be on your shoes which will never happen". She shrugged and took out a packet of cigarette from her bag.
Nari rolled her eyes and walked out of the room.
Yein can be so annoying but she had been helping her a lot, so she had to pay little attention to whatever offensive thing she says.
Nari went out of the cafe to the garage. She entered her car and drove to Park Jiwoo's art studio. She got there and got down from the car.
She walked to the receptionist who had already been informed about her arrival, she showed her to the room Jiwoo was.
They entered and the receptionist announced their art and bowed before walking out of the room.
Nari stood in front of the door without moving.
Jiwoo sat on a stool, her full focus on the artwork in front of her. She had just finish painting but was still seated on the stool.
"You're late". Jiwoo said without turning to look at Nari.
Nari sighs and walked to an empty chair, she sat on it and crossed her hand in front of her chest. She was ready to put Jiwoo in her place, she was tired of pretending to be a naive girl just because was trying to make a good impression for someone that was not even worth it.
"And so?".
Jiwoo eyes swiftly turned to Nari, astound by her arrogance, her lips twitched as she slowly stood up to her feet, walking close to Nari, looking unbothered.
"What did you just say?". Her jaw clenched in anger.
Nari tilted her head. "I said what is going to happen now that I'm late?".
