章 309: Immediate Explusion

Grindelwald, his face lighting up with interest, asked, "Where is Los Santos? Does this kind of thing happen often there?"

Blake sighed, reluctant to engage in this conversation. Los Santos wasn't even real, just a reference to a video game world. But explaining it to Grindelwald would be futile.

As Blake focused on the drive, the vast English countryside stretched out ahead of them. It would take them hours to reach Godric's Hollow in the southwest, where Dumbledore lived. Blake estimated at least three to four hours based on their current speed.

However, it became clear that Grindelwald wasn't in a rush. Blake knew that this extended trip was exactly what Grindelwald had planned—hours of uninterrupted time alone with him. There was no avoiding it.

Despite knowing what Grindelwald was up to, Blake didn't mind too much. Sure, he grumbled about it, but deep down, the whole thing was kind of fun. Taking the wheel and driving for hours in a world where his true nature was kept hidden—it was a thrill.

As they left the bustling streets of London behind and moved onto quieter country roads, Grindelwald's restlessness resurfaced. He insisted on taking the wheel again, determined to prove he could handle it. Blake, feeling more than a little apprehensive, reluctantly agreed.

It was a decision he would come to regret.

In less than an hour, they had crashed into a hill three times and nearly plunged into a canal twice. The old car was hanging on by a thread, thanks only to Grindelwald's magical prowess.

He kept using the Restoration and Memory-Altering Charms to undo the damage they were causing, resetting their disastrous accidents like nothing had happened. Despite these mishaps, Grindelwald seemed unbothered, thoroughly enjoying himself.

Finally, after several near-death experiences and plenty of magical intervention, Grindelwald began driving somewhat competently.

They were able to proceed without any further crashes, and Blake found himself relaxing, at least for the moment. But by the time they reached Godric's Hollow, the sun had already begun to set, casting long shadows over the small village.

From a distance, Blake could see two familiar figures standing in front of the house: Dumbledore, looking composed as always, and Nagini, the snake-like woman, beside him.

Blake's heart sank. He had hoped to avoid trouble upon arrival, but judging by Dumbledore's stiff posture and the way Nagini's eyes widened in surprise, that hope was dashed. Grindelwald, however, didn't seem fazed in the least.

As they approached the house, Grindelwald, ever dramatic, decided to show off one last time. Mimicking Blake's earlier driving stunts, he attempted a flashy drift right in front of Dumbledore's home. Unfortunately, his talent lay far from driving, and instead of a smooth manoeuvre, the car collided with Dumbledore's fence.

"Crash!"

A chunk of the fence splintered and collapsed. Dumbledore's calm demeanour slipped for the first time in years, his face contorting in frustration. He had always been the picture of patience and poise, but right now, he was anything but.

"You b*****d!" Dumbledore sputtered, barely managing to control his voice as it rose with anger. Clearly, he wanted to shout Grindelwald's name, but thought better of it, given the sensitivity around the infamous dark wizard's identity.

Nagini stood beside him, visibly shocked. In all the time she had known Dumbledore, she had never seen him lose his composure like this. Hearing him curse was a sight she would not soon forget.

Grindelwald, still behind the wheel, scratched his head, looking sheepish. "Ahem... well, the result wasn't ideal, but I was this close to nailing that drift! You felt it, didn't you?" he said, trying to recover from the embarrassing situation.

"If it weren't for that fence, I'd have done it perfectly."

Blake didn't bother responding. His legs felt weak from the ordeal. All he could think about was getting out of the car. His nerves were shot after enduring Grindelwald's reckless driving. As soon as he stepped out, he grabbed his suitcase and moved as far from the vehicle as possible.

Dumbledore, still fuming, turned his attention to Blake. "What in Merlin's name happened?" he demanded, his eyes narrowing at Blake in suspicion.

He had seen Grindelwald's horrendous driving and knew something must have gone wrong on their journey.

Blake, trying to remain calm, shook his head. "Nothing... nothing happened," he said, though his voice wasn't as convincing as he hoped.

Sure, they had been chased by Muggle police, crashed numerous times, and used several illegal spells, but technically, no one got hurt. There was no real harm done—at least, nothing they couldn't fix with magic.

Dumbledore raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it, but before he could say more, a flutter of wings caught their attention. An owl swooped down, dropping a letter directly on Blake's head. Blake had a sinking feeling as he unfolded the note.

His face turned green as he read it aloud: "Dear Mr. Green, We have received reports that you used a Confundus Charm on Euston Road, London, at approximately 3:20 this afternoon. Underage wizards are not permitted to use magic outside of school. Further infractions may result in expulsion from Hogwarts (Section 5.8 of the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery Act, 1875). Any magic that risks exposing the wizarding world to Muggles is a serious offence under Section 13 of the International Confederation of Wizards' Statute of Secrecy."

Blake crumpled the letter in his fist. It was just like what happened to Harry in the original timeline when Dobby had framed him. Blake had been wrongfully blamed for using magic, even though it was clearly Grindelwald's doing.

Before he could even process the frustration, another owl arrived, dropping yet another letter into his hands. Blake's heart sank even further. He didn't even want to open it, but curiosity got the better of him.

His face darkened as he read the second letter.

"Dear Mr. Green, We have received information that you cast both a Restoration Charm and a Memory-Altering Charm in front of Muggles near a village at approximately 5:40 this afternoon. This violation of the 'Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery Act' has led to your immediate expulsion from Hogwarts. Representatives from the Ministry of Magic will arrive shortly to confiscate your wand. Given your previous infraction of Section 13 of the Statute of Secrecy, you are required to appear at a disciplinary hearing at the Ministry on August 15th."

Blake groaned, realizing the severity of the situation. The Ministry of Magic's flawed detection system had pinned both the Confundus Charm and the Memory-Altering Charm on him. Of course, they weren't his spells, but the system wasn't sophisticated enough to distinguish between different wizards.

"Is it serious to get expelled, Professor?" Blake asked with a wry smile, turning to Dumbledore.
