章 135: Make Her Suffer

After admitting my fears to my cousin and her friend they decided they couldn't let me go alone.

I feared my own reaction if I learned the child wasn't mine.

Right now I was so certain that Lilith's child was mine and no other man could be the father, but what if it was the bastard's?

What if what I believed to be impossible was the truth?

It was something I didn't want to face and the sooner I made sure it was unlikely, the better.

I knew that Janet's pregnancy meant it was probable.

It wasn't a guarantee that Jason could father children, but it opened a window that I wanted shut so tight that nothing could get through.

"We're here," Riley said as she placed a hand on my shoulder. "Are you sure about this?" 

I looked into my cousin's dark eyes, eyes that mirrored mine, and nodded.

"If you go through with this and the answers you get aren't what you wanted there will be no turning back," she reminded me.
