章 67: Chapter 66: Teleport to stronghold
On the outskirts of Grand Gruen Volcano
After separating from Rihito and Tohru, Hajime and the other girls waited just outside the range of the sandstorm that surrounded the Gruen Volcano for Rihito to make contact, so they could start the plan.
Inside Brise.
"It's been over two hours since we separated, and Rihito still hasn't contacted us. I am getting worried now," Shea worryingly said.
Shizuku, sitting beside her, also had a slight frown on her face, and the index finger of her left hand was constantly tapping, indicating that she was getting impatient.
Hajime, sitting in the driving seat, crossed his arms and leaned into the chair, patiently waiting. While, Yue, taking Hajime's thighs as a pillow, lay down and stared at Hajime.
Tio sitting on the other side of Shea says, "You shouldn't worry so much, you two are already aware of his strength, and with Tohru by his side. I don't think there is any threat in this world that could hurt them." Tio looked at Shea and Shizuku.
"I know," Shea slumping on her seat responded.
"But still I can't help but worry about him, and I also wanted to go with him. It's not fair, why does Tohru always get to be the one to go with him?" Shea clenched her fist and proclaimed, "Next time I will be the one going on a mission with him."
Shea looked at Shizuku, "You also want to, isn't that right Shizuku," she asked.
Shizuku suddenly caught the attention of both Shea and Tio and the topic they were discussing made her blush. Shizuku then shook off her embarrassment and nodded, saying, "It's only natural. I want to be with the one I like..."
While the girls were having their chat, Hajime was contacted, seeing the familiar mana signature he picked up.
[What happened?] Hajime directly asked.
[It is as we thought, there is a high-ranking demon waiting to ambush you in the Gruen Volcano. You should proceed as we planned.] Rihito gave a prompt answer.
[Alright, so are you heading ahead.] Hajime asked.
[Not yet, I got the location of one of their bases. The demons there are preparing for war on The Heiligh kingdom. After I have dealt with that, I will join you guys.] Rihito said holding a red crystal.
[Do you need backup? If you do take Shea and Shizuku. They kept complaining about not taking them with you.] Hajime said in a complaining tone.
Rihito smiled wryly. [I would love to, but this demon already has a description of each person who thwarted his plan to bring down Ankaji. He's likely to mistake you for the person, me, and Yue for Tohru, who defeated the slime, and with Shizuku and Shea. Seeing all of you there will definitely make him want to attack you. So be prepared for sudden attacks, especially at the end.]
[I see, we will be careful. Alright, we will head off then.] Hajime said.
[See you later…] With that telepathy was cut.
As the telepathy was cut Hajime noticed the stairs of the girls.
"What did he say?" Shea was the first one to ask.
"Things are going as planned. First, we will collect Stillstone. Afterwards, we will head deeper into the volcano where the trial lies. As for Rihito, he has some things to settle. Once he is done, he will join us. Lastly, Yue, you keep watch on the surroundings using <Mana Sence>. The demon hiding will try to catch us off guard."
All the girls hearing the instructions nodded. With that, they were off.

Rihito cut off telepathy while flipping the red crystal in his hand.
"Tohru, you ready," Rihito asked just for confirmation.
"Ready when you are," Tohru said with a smile as she flexed her delicate left bicep. Her dainty-looking arms might appear delicate, but Rihito, who had fought Tohru before, knew that it was just an illusion. Those seemingly delicate arms held enough power to overpower anyone, including Rihito himself. Despite being stronger than when he previously fought her, he wasn't sure if he could survive a direct attack from her.
Rihito then raised his hand towards Tohru, understanding what he wanted, she held on to it. He then crushed the crystal in his hand, teleporting them.

On the other side of Reisen Gorge.
In the world of Tortus, it is said that the Liberators, who once sought to destroy the world, on their final clash combined their magic, giving birth to a powerful force capable of world destruction. The gods attempted to intervene, but it is said that they were too late, and the world-shattering magic had already been unleashed. Upon witnessing this, both the demon god and the human god joined forces to stop the Liberators. Legend has it that the Great Reisen Gorge, which divided the continent into two, is the result of their clash. Although the gods managed to save the world, they failed to capture the Liberators in the process. From that day on, both the human and demon churches spread the news of the Liberators' betrayal, branding them as enemies of the world. Thus, the age of Liberators came to an end.

(a/n: I made this part, there are a few things that people seem to be confused about. In the story, both humans and demons believe they have their own gods. However, only the true fanatics know the truth: that there is only one God. And because they are fanatics, they don't care about anything else.)
The frontline demon castle.
In one of the towers of the castle, a magic circle started to glow indicating someone was about to teleport here.
Rihito, as soon as he crushed the crystal, the space started to shift around him, teleporting them to the recorded destination.
Rihito and Tohru suddenly found themselves in a strange room. No, it was more like a chamber. Rihito instantly used his <Mana Sense> to scan the whole area and understand the exact location within the demon fortress. He also sensed three more places similar to the one where he was standing, as well as a strong but strange mana signature. There was something off about this signature.
He then looked beneath him, there was a large magic circle. Upon closer inspection, Rihito found that this magic circle had a location inscribed in it, the Heiligh kingdom.
"I see, so this is the central point of the war. This means that the other 3 locations he sensed must have teleportation points. If I take out this place, the demons' attacking momentum will halt for a while." He hoped it would buy him enough time to acquire all the other magics.
"Master, some people are heading this way," "Tohru looked at the large gate and warned."
Rihito nodded at her, "But first." Without much thought, Rihito stomped with immense strength, shattering the magic circle, the floor, and the foundation. The tower began to collapse.
"Booom!!"
Rumble, rumble…
Crack
Crack
…
Outside…
Some of the demon guards seeing one of the 4 teleportation towers suddenly started to collapse, panicked.
"Hey, what's going on? Why is the tower collapsing," one of the demons asked confused?
"Do something…" another said thinking about the punishment they would get.
"Hurry, inform Captain Mikhail"
The demon guards tried to ask each other to understand, what was happening, but no one knew anything. So, they decided to inform their captain.
Just then, the entrance of the tower flew open. From inside the collapsing tower, a man with a mask and a woman in a maid outfit walked out like they were on a stroll.
The demons who were more sensitive to the magic signature sense that they were not demons.
"Intruders!" one of the guards shouted.
"This sudden collapse must be their doing," another said.
"Hurry up and inform Captain Mikhail…"

Rihito wearing the mask notices the demons pulling out their swords, preparing for an attack. He looks at them for a second then ignores them, his attention is somewhere else.
"Tohru you are free to do as much damage as you can. If someone gets in your way take them out." Saying that Rihito vanished.
Tohru was startled for a second, it was the first time Rihito allowed her to use her powers without holding back. These days whenever she tries to use her power, she gets scolded, so she starts to restrain her power. But now, Rihito had given her his permission which meant, she was allowed to use her powers, and she would not get scolded if she mistakenly broke things.
Tohru smiled as she looked at the demons, her reddish-orange eyes with a draconic slit glowing in the dark, unnerving the demons. With a burst of speed, Tohru overpowered the demons with her overwhelming speed and power. She easily tanked both physical and magic attacks from the demons and retaliated with her fists and breath.
A few mages tried to conjure shields to protect the warriors, but in front of Tohru's punches, those shields might as well be made out of paper. She easily tears through them, directly knocking them out or, if the demon's luck is out, causing death.
While Tohru was dealing with the grunts, Rihito up in the sky, had an encounter.
