Talon, Crystal, Emily, Zhang Mei, Noah, John, and Marco began their arduous trek through the treacherous terrain leading to the hidden cave. 

Marco, who had originally been part of a different group but had previously served on the same ship, was eager to join them due to his passion for ancient artifacts and history.

The path was grueling, with slippery rocks and creeping vines making every step increasingly challenging. 

They carefully treaded over a thick root that snaked around the rocks, gripping onto protruding roots for support. 

Below them lay a treacherous mud pool, which they feared might swallow anything that fell into it.

"Stay focused and hold on tightly," Talon warned in a firm tone.

"Damn! How is there even access to the cave like this?" Zhang Mei muttered in frustration, struggling to balance on the slick path.
