She sat quietly in her seat, her posture brimming with confidence, but inside she felt doubt. Showing weakness in such a situation would be a serious mistake. Her inner instinct was warning her of danger; every person in the room seemed to radiate it. Of course, some were less dangerous than others, but the two biggest problems were definitely Elisabeth and the man in the red suit. Unlike Elisabeth, the man felt dangerous, but not overwhelmingly dangerous. His power was very subtle, not like his strength was a lie, but different from the package of brute force in the form of the little girl. Maybe that meant he was a wizard or something else; after all, he was still strong.
The man in the red suit, whom Elizabeth had called the Sin of Wrath, raised his arm and glanced at his expensive-looking watch. He clicked his tongue indignantly and shook his head angrily.
"Such a disgrace; how dare she be late again? Even Sloth came on time; this girl is an insult to our group." ranted at the man dressed in red.
~It's okay, she's obviously under the illusion that she can behave as she sees fit here, but that's over now; I'll take care of her personally.~ answered the little girl with a surprising amount of sadism in her voice.
She shuddered and stole glances at the small girl. Her arrogant posture matched her tone. She was by no means someone who was easily intimidated, but hearing promises of violence come from the mouth of a small, innocent-looking child was just something different.
The room became bright again, and a figure emerged from the red light. When the light faded again, she could see more. It was a tall woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. Her hair was so long that it flowed down to her back, and her body, from her breasts to her ass and her killer hips, was covered by white robes. This body immediately made her think about why this woman had not become the deadly sin of lust.
Apart from her, most of the others showed little interest in the newcomer. Elisabeth still had her feet on the table; the man in the red suit pointedly ignored her; the blue slime flowed half over the table so that it looked as if he were sleeping; the strange egg creature next to her was calmly inspecting a gold ring in his hand; and even the undead had shown no further interest after a quick look.
The white-clad woman strode forward arrogantly as if the room belonged to her; only now could she see two more figures behind her. There were two people who were also dressed in white robes and had their bright hoods pulled low over their faces, but despite everything, you could see that their faces expressed adoration when they looked at the brightly dressed woman.
"Pride, it seems that you are finally honoring us with your presence. Was the trip good? I hope so, since it took you so long to join us." The man in the suit spoke with suppressed anger in his voice.
"Shut your mouth, demon; it should be an honor for you to bathe in my divinity," answered the white-clothed woman.
"Hngg" the demon grunted, making even such a crude action look elegant.
"I won't pretend you understand because your arogance is only trumped by your limitless narcissism. However, despite all this, it would at least be appropriate to act as if you were sticking to the rules." The demon replied
"Hah, as if someone as great as me had to play by the rules, and as for your other dissatisfaction, it had nothing to do with arogance or narcissism. I'm just as great as I said I was, and I take great pride in it," the white-clothed woman boasted.
"Haaa, that's exactly what I mean, but what else can you expect from an insane person? You're not a god. You're not even close." replied the man in red
"Is something like that supposed to offend me, demon, because if so..."
"Enough." Elisabeth interrupted the argument.
Her otherwise sweet and playful voice was replaced by one that once again made Zeshi's blood freeze in her veins. She had heard it before, in the treasury, when Elisabeth was freaked out by the idea of someone taking her toys.
"I don't care much about your little quarrels, but you also came too late. I didn't set up rules without reason, and since I hate rules, I didn't introduce many. But the few that do exist are either self-serving or self-explanatory, like this one. Anyway, we've wasted enough time; we should start now." The little girl explained
~Ahh and one more thing~
You won't be late next time, said Elisabeth with absolute certainty in her voice.
~Ihihihihihihihi, now that we've got this unpleasant mistake out of the way, we can finally officially begin.~
~Marieeee, it's your tuuuuurn.~ The little vampire exclaimed happily.
"As you wish, my lady," answered the attractive redhead with a polite bow.
"Since this organization has gained a lot of new blood, I will now introduce all members once again. Please remember that each member of the sins is independent but does not have direct equal rights when it comes to internal matters in the organization. You are expected to discuss major operations in this circle, which is primarily intended to prevent internal disputes.
As far as status in the organization is concerned, it can happen that more influential members are preferred over less influential members when it comes to ownership claims or other things. Promotions and demotions are possible if you behave accordingly, and now...Your rank will be determined by the order in which I introduce you."
