Maya ran straight inside Mr. Weston's office just as the man had instructed her yesterday. When she got there, the man was on his way out of his office.

"Good morning, Mr. Weston," Maya greeted the man with a smile on her face.

Mr. Weston touched his face. "Aha! Maya, right. You look better than yesterday. I almost didn't recognize you as the fighter from yesterday," he said, locking his office. "Also, I've had all charges dropped, so you don't need to worry."

"Thank you so much, sir," Maya bowed. She couldn't afford to get into any trouble for now.

"Let's go and get you acquainted with the other staff. The new manager you'll be working with is yet to resume, but he won't tolerate any form of laziness or tardiness," Mr. Weston said, walking in front with Maya behind.
