Alisa took a step backward, turned around, and started walking.
"Alisa," Logan called out.
She halted in her tracks. Logen went in front of her, bending down to her eye level.
"Did you hear what we said" Logan inquired, studying her reaction closely.
Alisa glanced at him, her gaze avoiding direct contact, and shook her head slowly.
"I think you are lying," Logan remarked, his tone softening, and he held her hand. "Can you help me?"
"Help you with what?" Alisa questioned, as she removed his hand from hers.
"Well, since you heard what I told my dad," Logan began. "Can you help me with getting your mom?"
Logan thought that if she helped him, maybe Yvonne might agree to go out with him.
Alisa shook her head and said, "No."
"Why?"
He was disappointed that Alisa didn't want to help him and wondered why. Was it because of what she heard? How could his father spoil what he wishes for?
