They chatted for a while before deciding to go back.

When she heard the name, she was stunned for a brief moment.

He may turn away, but Alex is not at all embarrassed.
Simply put, he realized that Alex Hambell would feel embarrassed in this circumstance and acted accordingly based on his recollection.

For him, Angelina is like a main character of a story.

The world is not balanced since he will always be weaker in front of Angelina even if he gets stronger in the future, that's what he believed so as the weaker one, he will always believe in her luck and will only trust her luck whenever he's in a clash with her and used it against her.
Now that he already found their location, he decided to retreat.
He is not escaping or leaving the city but to call for his backup.

That's what system status that Anna received from her smartphone.
As a smartphone user, the system status is much the same as the Slave System Status but unlike the Slave System Status who's very overpowered from the start, the Shadow System Status gives three upgradable skills.
[Shadow Manipulation Lvl 1]
This skill can control of her own or someone's shadow.
However, since it's still level one, the function that can do is to hide within the shadows for 5 minutes with a cool down of 10 minutes.
Inside of the house, Anna is trying her skills.
Rather than hide, her first skill makes her dive into a shadow world.
Inside the shadow world, she felt like she was swimming but in the eyes of others, she was like she can jump from shadow to shadow.
It's a good skill especially for hiding and running.
[Shadow Domain Lvl 1]
This skill can create a personal space for her and her opponent.
However, this is just level one so her personal space is limited within 30 seconds with a 30 minutes cool down.
Within those 30 seconds, her damage will deal 10 × to her opponent and her first skill has no cool down or limitation.
With help of Rica, she tested her second skill.
The reason why Rica agrees to help her is because she is also curious on what skills she has.
Inside the shadow domain is like a boss battle area where there's only pillars that circulate the area and torches that lights the area.
They aren't fighting so those 30 seconds is very fast for them and they go back to the real world.
[Shadow Dagger Lvl 1]
This skill is not an active skill but a passive one.
It can summon a shadow dagger that can be upgradable.
Since this is just level one, it can summon one dagger.
As she tries this skill, as she expected, it's only one dagger but unlike other daggers, whenever she throws her dagger, it always comes back to her hands like it's teleporting.
This is a good skill to surprise her opponent.
After her skill testing, Rica asked her to used again her shadow domain skill.
Anna accepts her request but since there's a 30 minutes of cool down, she asked her to wait.
Rica understands it so they decided to clean the house while waiting for the cool down.
They also have talk about a book they read while cleaning so their atmosphere is very lively.
In this house, reading is mostly their hobby so their wavelength are very link to each other.
It took an hour to clean the whole first floor but they are still fine like cleaning is nothing to them.
Anyway, now that they are finished of cleaning, Anna use her shadow domain and they disappeared from the house.
Rica activated her skill right away once she entered the domain.
Because she only had 30 seconds, she wasted no time in telling Anna that she would activate her skills.
With her first of devotion, she throws a punch to the ground, creating a large web-like crack and a loud boom.
Because of this, Anna flew away and landed on the ground.
Fortunately, she received no damage other than minor scratches caused by small rocks.
Rica felt fulfilled for some reason, while Anna looked at her with confusion.
She felt this way because she had not used her skill in a long time and was experimenting: if she could destroy this place, would they be able to return to reality? or something along those lines, but because she was unable to destroy the domain with her full force, the experiment failed.
Anyway, they have been studying since Alex went out, so they decided to eat some sweets.
