'It is a demon beast' Raon concluded the second he got ambushed as he caught sight of sharp claws aiming for his chest and head.

Their speed was also not something many would be able to see, let alone react to, and Roan was sure if he wasn't paranoid, he would've died for sure.

'Where is it?'

As soon as the ambush failed, the beast vanished without leaving any traces, much to the frustration of Raon.

He was trying to sense the beast rather than looking around frantically, but he didn't close his eyes like an idiot.

'I couldn't sense it, and if not for my instincts and reflexes, I would've been too slow'

Raon thought as he reflexively looked at his robes, which were torn apart with three claw marks, but his skin was untouched.
