章 144: I'll go insane in her absence

Magnus greeted his brothers while looking quite surprised to see Izaak in the Council Hall. 

"Shouldn't Brother Izaak be resting for a few more days?" he queried. 

"I got bored lying on the bed the entire time," Izaak responded why he chose to come to the meeting rather than staying in his room.

"The twenty family leaders will be present here today. What do you think their first reaction will be?" Izaak inquired, glancing at Magnus. 

"I wonder if they would dare to taunt me leaving the council at a time when the workload was heavy," Magnus remarked with a chuckle. He then gazed at Alaric. "Does the work not bore you? They do the same things all the time." He wished to know Alaric's opinion on this too. 

"I enjoy this work unlike you, Magnus. You lost the interest because you wanted something more exciting for you," Alaric stated.
