"What the!?" Tezcatlipoca was confused about how in the world Theus managed to kill Carl, as he was protected by his black sun authority to manipulate probability by changing the flow of all things, that being Carl's death. That's also why he managed to revive him once he was incinerated by Theus.

His black sun authority was one of the few authorities that altered reality. And of course, with an overpowered ability, it also has some limitations those being: Things not in this world can't be manipulated, if his manipulation goes too far with the natural order of the world he would get a backlash. Lastly, he would penalized if the sun didn't reflect on his right leg which is made out of obsidian. That penalty was, that he would temporarily lose his divinity making him excessively weaker or worse turn him back to a mortal like the body he had been using as a vessel.

That's also why he wanted Apollo's authority over the sun so that he would have the sun above him all the time.

"Who is this guy!?" Tezcatlipoca couldn't seem to see a future with this person like an enigma.

"To produce this much heat, that even surpasses Xolotl's." Tezcatlipoca didn't want to fight an unknown being that could potentially lead to his defeat.

"Yet another variable has appeared." Tezcatlipoca chose to retreat for now, and by that, he took the bodies of two weakened gods with him before leaving Mount Olympus.

"Carl dude was dealt easier than I had expected... It's probably because he's just an ordinary person in his past life." The black mist around the battlefield gradually disappeared after Carl had been killed.

"Is this supposed to the Mount Olympus?" Merlin asked looking at the ruined state it is in. "The ground is still hot. You could fry an egg in here." He added after I unsheathed Ryujin Jakka.

"I wonder where the other gods have been." I was sort of worried about what had happened to Artemis. Also where the hell are the trinity main gods of theirs gone to? I don't see anyone here, only corpses.

How did they even lose this battle? I always had heard that they are a formidable pantheon that is portrayed in the myths. But if they lose easily just like this, they would be much weaker than I thought. I could only imagine how weak the other myths are.

It's also possible that they're having their war in their circle. After all, it's not a secret that Olympus has the most messed up Gods.

"Who are you? Identify yourself, Devil!" A man with flaming hair, a beard, and wearing menacing heavy golden armor.

"A god?" I raised my eyebrows because he looked familiar.

"You're Ares, the god of war." I guessed he looked like someone from the God of War game.

"Indeed I am. Now who are you?" He said calmly, as he sounded tired.

"I am Theus Vasilis Gusion, from the three-faction alliance."

"Ah! You're finally here!" He looked relieved, which confused me. I had expected him to be surprised as to why I'm here... But okay.

"Ah yes. I've arrived." I acted as if I was the backup. I figured out they reach out to the guys in the three factions, since looking at the current state they're in.

"Come, we are still fighting the remnants of the Aztec God, Tezcatlipoca." Ares hurriedly ran in the direction of the outs as I, Lobo, and Merlin followed him.

"Uhhhh.." This shit can't be real... I looked at the battlefield as there were still a lot of soldiers armed with guns, probably from Carl, and black smoke coming from their masks.

It's laughable that these gods are having a hard time dealing with these abnormal guys with just guns. Don't get me wrong those guns do pack a punch, but to have a hard time against them!?

"Can I ask you a question?" Ares looked at us.

"Sure go on ahead. Treat it as compensation that we are late." Not really.

"Were you the one who caused that heat wave?" He sounded nervous.

"Yes, I am!" I stated sarcastically. "And as for how... I have no comment on that." I added.

[Task: Find and break the Smoking Mirror

"Well is that so? Would you mind helping us for a bit?" Ares said a black mist shot out to the distance as if trying to escape.

"Ares! The Jaguar King is escaping!!!" A woman shouted at Ares. Making us all look at her briefly before looking at the black smoke, which I immediately pursued using Aqua Aera.

"Ah... Master is too fast, for me to follow..." Merlin said dejectedly as he tried patting Lobo, nearly getting bitten instead.

"Who are you?" Ares asked the Flower Mage.

"Oh, I'm Merlin the flower magus from the land of paradise, Avalon," Merlin replied. "And this one here is Hessian Lobo, the wolf king."

"ggggrrrrrr" Lobo bared his fangs as he didn't like to be touched by anyone.

"You must be a descendant of Merlin." Ares mistook the real Merlin as a descendant in this world.

"Haa?" Merlin sounded confused at his response.

"N-no I'm the real Merlin-" He was cut off by Ares as he patted his shoulder.

"Don't worry about it, at least you didn't join the Khaos Brigade and joined with Theus instead," Ares stated.

"No, I'm the real one..." He stated.

"Well, anyway mind helping my half-sister there? I'm still wounded by Tezcatlipoca's last attack. And that sudden heat wave dried me up." Ares complained.

"Alright. Come Lobo." Merlin teleported the two of them to the battlefield to assist the Goddess of Wisdom, Athena.

"Tsk, what's taking the muscle head too long!?" Athena complained as pink flowers gathered like a tornado.

"What is this now? First are black smoke now it's petals?" Athena's mood is irritated due to Theus' Ryujin Jakka release earlier.

"Hellooo! Miss Goddess!" Merlin said happily as he and Lobo wiped some of Tezcatlipoca's men.

"Wh-"

"Speak no further and focus. We're the backup. Merlin and Hessian Lobo." Merlin already knew what she wanted to ask.

"How... That easily?" Athena muttered looking at the two sweeping the army of their enemy.

'The soldier seemed to be weaker... It's probably because Tezcatlipoca left the battlefield.' Merlin thought as the black smoke from the men headed out of their bodies and went toward the direction where Tezcatlipoca was headed.

"You're a descendant of Merlin?" Athena seemed to mistook Merlin someone from this world.

"I'm--- *sigh* never mind... Yeah." Merlin got tired of explaining when the other person wouldn't even acknowledge it. As he just accepted it's that as a fact.

"And what's with the wolf?" Athena looked at Lobo who lingered death all over, which reminded her of Hades.

"He's master's dog..." He smiled since he didn't want to give unnecessary information about Lobo.

"Is that... So?" She looked at Lobo who was slaughtering all of the enemies at an insane pace, using his scythes.

"By the way, Goddess Athena I have a very important question," Merlin said, as he was curious as to why Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, weren't present in this war.

"Go on."

"Where are the Trinity Gods?" He asked curiously as his master also wanted to know earlier, if they joined the party they would most likely win.

"Hades no longer wanted to associate with Mount Olympus and had isolated himself in the underworld. Zeus and Apollo had been captured by Tezcatlipoca. And lastly, Poseidon had been eaten by the same person, I presume Tezcatlipoca is absorbing his authority for himself." Athena let out a heavy sigh at the state of their pantheon after just one attack.

From a god that had presumably been permanently killed in the previous war by Quetzalcoatl. Suddenly came back and wanted to take over the world, now that the other Aztec Gods were inactive.

"I wish my master good luck on fighting Tezcatlipoca then." Merlin just smiled and didn't seem to be concerned as he had seen the amount of magic Theus could handle from his battle with Carl.

"What do you mean by that?" Athena sounded confused by his reply.

"Howwwwlll!" Lobo let out a howl as he finished the last one.
