"Soooo what were you doing at the charity function in the first place?"

Mingshen was lazily tapping his finger on the desk in the custody room. He somehow made his way through Huojin into letting him meet Bai Yingtai.

Bai Yingtai had his head almost hanging off his neck, asleep as usual.

"You know you don't get soft fluffy beds to sleep in in jail, right?"

Bai Yingtai immediately jerked his head up, his eyes now wide open. A flash of terror greeted his eyes.

"Then…" his voice was quiet of a whisper as always, "how do people sleep here?"

General population would only find his words incoherent but Mingshen and Bojing were used to understanding through his almost mute voice.

"They get used to it," he shrugged. "Criminals don't get much choices, you see."

Bai Yingtai looked blank as if lightning struck him. "I don't want to…sleep on cold hard beds. Will Pluplu be there?"

"No teddy bears either."
