章 50: Emma's regret

Emma lifted her head, her eyes brimming with water; she silently looked at Alex, who still wore a nervous expression, as she slowly leaned towards his lips.

At first, Emma was slightly afraid that her plan might fail, but as her lips drew closer to his, she grew more certain. Inside, she even felt a sense of contempt, thinking, "As expected, men are always so easily swayed by their desires."

Suddenly, Alex let out a cold laugh, his tone filled with disdain. "So it was all just a seduction technique," he remarked.

Emma's face froze, and she shouted in anger, "Alex, what are you talking about?"

Ignoring her, Alex's eyes emitted a chilling light as his hand tightened around her neck.

Emma's pupils shrank in fear as she gasped, "Alex, you're hurting me."

But Alex remained silent, increasing the pressure of his grip.

Desperate, she reached up to try and pry Alex's hands away, but they felt like iron clasps, immovable and unyielding.
