章 151: The True Fire Of Samadhi Promotes Transformation And Internal Strife In The Revolutionary Army

Operating the self-cultivation furnace wasn't complicated. After Salome was taught how to use it, she was the first to operate it. Arias and Hancock lay inside, transferring the Samadhi True Fire to her.

Next was Sonia, followed by Mary.

Finally, Hancock took her turn, transferring the Samadhi True Fire back to Salome.

When the three Hancocks acquired the Samadhi True Fire, faint black smoke started emanating from their bodies—these were the impurities being burned away. These impurities contained the remnants of the "soul" of the Devil Fruit.

But when Salome obtained the Samadhi True Fire, her body suddenly ignited. She appeared as a creature engulfed in flames, with denser black smoke being forced out of her.

"Salome!" Hancock exclaimed, her usual calm demeanor breaking. Rarely did she lose her composure like this. In this world, the only ones who could unsettle her were Arias, her two younger sisters, and Salome.

Sonia and Mary were equally alarmed, unsure of what was happening.

"Don't panic," Arias reassured them, stopping them from rushing over. Although they didn't fully understand, they could see clearly what was occurring.

Salome was shedding her demon body and transforming completely into a human!

In the midst of the raging flames, Salome didn't appear to be in pain. Her eyes were closed, and she sat cross-legged. Behind her, a shadowy figure of a massive water snake with a white body and red Madara pattern appeared—her true form.

When the flames finally subsided, Salome would have fully shed her demon body and become a human.

In other worlds, this transformation would signify a great demon evolving. Her strength would increase dramatically.

"She is gradually losing her animal form. When she wakes up, she will be a true human, like us—not just a human transformed by a Devil Fruit," Arias explained, allowing the three to relax.

After confirming that the self-cultivation furnace could be used, Arias decided to refine some weapons for Hancock and the others.

"What kind of weapons do you want? I'll refine a few for you."

Hancock shook her head. "I don't need any. I always rely on my kicking skills, and the Wu Dou Guy you gave me is sufficient."

Arias nodded. While Wu Dou Guy was a good weapon, it was the first magic weapon he had refined. Now, with his increased strength, he could improve it further.

"Give me your Wu Dou Guy, and I'll upgrade it for you."

Hancock obediently removed the red beads from her wrists and ankles, handing them to Arias.

He then turned to Sonia and Mary.

Mary had always used a long-handled broadsword and still preferred that type of weapon. Sonia, who had never used weapons before, thought for a moment and said, "I'd like to use a spear."

Spears and bows were the most commonly used weapons among the Nine Snakes female warriors. Even if they didn't use them personally, they were well-versed in the techniques.

"Alright," Arias agreed. He retrieved the materials from the capsule and enveloped them with his qi. Additionally, he realized that the Op-Op Fruit's internal operation abilities provided him with many more skills for refining weapons.

Sonia and Mary exited the refining room, understanding that their sister and Arias aimed to overthrow the World Government and eliminate the Celestial Dragons. This goal required powerful support. For years, they had diligently trained the soldiers on the island, never allowing themselves a moment's rest.

After achieving some success in their training, they set out to confront pirates, solidifying the results of their hard work.

Hancock remained in the alchemy room, worried about Salome. On one hand, she could stay close to Arias; on the other, she could monitor Salome's condition and be ready to assist if necessary.

Suddenly, Arias paused in his work. He retrieved a monocular from the capsule, placed it over his eye, and observed an intriguing scene.

It was an old, somewhat dilapidated room.

A small insect perched on a shelf transmitted everything back to Arias from its vantage point.

In the room were four figures: Big Bear, Ginny, Dragon, and Crow. Both Dragon and Crow were heavily bandaged, clearly still recovering from serious injuries. Crow, in particular, coughed frequently, indicating severe damage.

Ginny cradled a baby in her arms on the bed, its face nearly covered with cyan scales.

"Ginny's not dead?" Arias thought, surprised. He remembered Ginny dying shortly after giving birth to Bonney. Why did it seem like she had lived a few more days?

He didn't know what had transpired but heard Dragon's voice, filled with frustration:

"Big Bear! You saved Bonney, and I have no issue with Bonney being an important companion, but aren't the other soldiers of the Revolutionary Army our companions too? Even if you didn't meet with them, you should have at least informed us so we could prepare! Now Ivankov is captured, and Crow nearly died in battle! Do you know what you're doing?"

Big Bear lowered his head, speaking in a subdued tone, "Dragon, I'm sorry. I was only thinking about Ginny at the time and forgot about everything else."

"But Dragon," he continued, summoning his courage, "Ginny and Bonney's illness can still be cured! I contacted a famous doctor who said there's a chance of recovery!"

Dragon's anger only grew. "A chance? Ginny is in the late stage of Jade Scales! What chance? One percent? And the cost of the operation is five billion Baileys! Is that so-called famous doctor even credible? A success rate of less than one percent! Even if he fails, no one can hold him accountable! Do you understand what this means?"

He continued, "Revolutionary Army soldiers have died in battle. We need funds to support their families and train new soldiers! Five billion! Don't say we don't have that kind of money right now. Even if we did, do you know what that money could do?"

He was so angry that he refrained from speaking further in Ginny's presence. However, Ginny didn't seem inclined to blame anyone.

She looked down at Bonney in her arms with a responsible expression. This was her child, but also a child of the Celestial Dragons.

"Dragon," Ginny's weak voice interjected, "I know my body is beyond saving, and I don't need treatment, but Bonney is only in the early stage of Jade Scales, and she still has a chance. For the sake of our past friendship, please save Bonney."

Dragon looked at Bonney coldly. "Save the child of a Celestial Dragon? Ginny, don't you understand our revolution's purpose? It's to overthrow the World Government and drag the Celestial Dragons off their pedestal!"

"But Bonney is innocent," Ginny pleaded. "She doesn't know anything. Besides, it's better if we don't tell her about her true heritage. Tell Bonney her father isn't a Celestial Dragon—he's Big Bear!"

Big Bear was shocked, his expression darkening. He hadn't dared to accept Ginny's feelings back then, but she had always loved him.

Dragon, unwilling to argue further, walked away. "Ginny, Big Bear, you're both veteran members of the Revolutionary Army. You should know what's more important. That's all. Crow, let's go."
