章 116: The Boy Saved By Monet-Ajin

Soon, Brother Ming returned, bringing Senor and others to prevent Arías from cheating.

"Two fruits, and you release them first!" Brother Ming demanded, holding a wooden box but not handing it over immediately.

"I'm alone; what are you afraid of?" Arías chuckled. "With all these people here, if I were to kill them, it would be difficult for me to escape."

"To show good faith, I'll release one person first. You then give me one fruit. After that, I'll release another person, and you give me the second fruit. It's fair this way!"

"You're insufferable!" Brother Ming fumed but had no choice. "Fine!"

Arías tossed Pika over first, and Senor quickly caught him. Ming Ge, keeping his promise, placed a Devil Fruit at the puppet's feet.

"Very good. For the second transaction, you deliver the fruit first, and then I'll release the next person!"

Brother Ming reluctantly complied. Arías then threw Diamanti, who was caught by Mahabaisi.

"What's your name?" Ming Ge asked after the two were safely on board.

Arías smiled. "Xialan Yongde·Yongye. If you seek revenge, I'll be ready!"

Ming Ge took a mental note of the name. "Xialan Yongde·Yongye, I'll remember that."

Without further threats, Ming Ge directed his men to retreat with the wounded while he stayed behind to cover their escape.

After Ming Ge and his team departed, Arías transported the bound Solomon to the other side of the desert island. He inflicted a fatal wound on Solomon, causing him to lose consciousness, and left him on the shore while he waited.

Five days later, a ship passed nearby. Arías, using the Op-Op Fruit's ability, stealthily crossed into the sea and swam to the shore. Upon reaching the shore, he used the Op-Op Fruit again to remove Solomon's heart, place it in a wooden box, and give it to the puppet before returning to the Dawn.

Upon his return, Arías used the puppet to send a message to the Monet sisters, instructing them to come aboard with Solomon and the phone bug he used to contact his subordinates.

Monet and her companions saw the bound Solomon and, though curious, did not question Arías.

"Master Ye, I rescued a seriously injured young man who was unconscious," Monet reported.

"Rescued someone?" Arías frowned. "Who allowed you to bring someone aboard without my permission?"

Monet, flustered, explained, "Sir, he had battle scars all over his body. He might be useful to you."

"Useful?" Arías snorted. "You're not allowed to bring people on board without my permission! For your disobedience, you'll stand on the deck for a whole day without food!"

Monet whispered a reluctant "Yes."

Just as she prepared for her punishment, a determined voice came from behind.

"This sister saved me. If you must punish someone, punish me instead!"

The puppet turned to see a boy wrapped in bandages stepping out of the cabin. Despite his weakened state, his voice was strong.

"May I have your name?" Arías inquired.

The boy responded with confidence, "My name is Ajin! A wanderer on the sea!"

Arías scrutinized him. Ajin—could this be the same Ajin from Krieg's crew? Given his age, it was likely.

"How can you wander the sea in such a weak state? A pirate would throw you overboard to feed the fish!" Arías taunted.

Ajin defended himself, "I defeated an entire pirate crew on my own! Though injured, I am strong!"

"You're willing to take Monet's punishment?" Arías asked.

Ajin replied earnestly, "Miss Monet saved me. If there's punishment to be given, it should fall on me. She's innocent!"

Arías was impressed by Ajin's loyalty but wanted to test him further. "Alright, I'll give you this opportunity. Granulated Sugar!"

He called for Sugar. "You'll fight Ajin. If you win, Monet won't be punished. If you lose, no grapes for a month!"

To Ajin, he added, "If you win, you'll take the punishment instead of Monet. But if you lose, you die!"

This was to prevent either side from stalling.

Sugar, uninterested in Ajin, accepted the challenge with a detached attitude. Ajin, despite his desire to protect Monet, was wary of death.

"What weapon do you use?" Arías asked.

Ajin replied, "I used a pair of crutches with iron balls on the ends, but I lost them at sea. I don't need weapons to handle a little girl!"

Arías produced a pair of iron rods from his bag. "Since your crutches are useless, use these."

Ajin was hesitant but took the iron rods, unwilling to use weapons against his benefactor's sister.

Sugar, however, showed no mercy. A talisman transformed into a spiritual sword, descending from the sky.

Ajin quickly grabbed the iron rod, knowing he needed it to defend himself. Despite his incomplete ghost-man fighting technique, he managed to fend off the first few spirit swords.

Sugar, having learned to create powerful talismans, unleashed a barrage of spiritual swords. With each sword that fell, Ajin struggled to block or dodge them. The puppet intervened to prevent damage to the hull.

After fifteen spiritual swords shattered Ajin's iron rod, the puppet saved him just in time. Despite his youth and serious injuries, surviving the onslaught demonstrated Ajin's considerable talent.

"I lost. Kill me," Ajin said, throwing away the remaining iron rod, resigned to his fate.
