章 7: First Contact
The two beasts were almost at the same level of rage, something that Loid never saw in Bond before, as he was about to interfere, a composed manly voice called out for the dark blue fury dog.
"Divine beast, rest"
"Why are you so agitated all of a sudden?" Megumi asked, before addressing his apologies to Loid
"I think our dogs were fighting over my daughter's keychain" the very elegant Loid said
"Really?" Megumi asked slightly frowning his eyes, that somehow triggered Loid who responded to him with almost the same expression
"Is something wrong, young man?"
"Oh, nothing, I just thought that this keychain was somehow familiar"
"Well, it is very trendy with the little girls these days, do you have a little sister by any chance?" Loid asked
"No, I don't" Megumi asked as he picked him up to take a good look at him, feeling the same sense of unease that was felt by the divine beast, some cursed energy could be felt from it
"Might I ask where you got that from sir?"
"To be honest my daughter was the one who bought it from the mall with a friend of hers"
"Would you mind telling me which mall? And the direction of that last, if possible, I am not from around here, and you see I am quiet interested in this little thing"
"No problem, but out of curiosity, what is a foreigner doing here, this isn't a very touristic town"
"Well, I am here on business with two of my associates, we are trying to expand our already established company in this town, a pharmaceutical company to be exact"
"I see, your parents are proud of you I imagine" Loid say thinking of the next response that Megumi would give to this remark
"Actually are parents are dead, my associates are almost like siblings to me, we grew up in an orphanage, then worked our way out to real world"
"With company sponsorships I suppose" Twilight said in a huskier tone
"And you suppose well, mister Forger" Megumi added
"Agent Sherwood, filled you in with all the details I see" he thought
While conversing a little pinky princess decided to wake up from her sleep.
"Did you sleep well Anya?" Yor asked, as Anya was stretching her arms
"Yes, I did, but where is Bond I want to play with him" she asked while whipping her eye
"I am pretty sure Loid and him didn't go that far" she said before hearing Bond's thoughts, "Miss Anya"
· "Oh I think I know where they are" she said smiling before standing up.
· "Miss Anya little keychan" she heard
It was none other than Bond, as she started walking toward them, she noticed a young man in his twenties with the same hair color as hers, intrigued she decided to get closer to him, of course she made sure to be as swift as a Panter, but it wasn't enough to avoid the sixth sense of a sorcerer .
· "What kind of energy is that?" he asked himself, before turning back.
· "Man, I could have sworn that I have sensed a presence behind my back" he thought again perplexed
· "Anya got almost discovered" she thought terrified as she was hiding behind a bush, before she decided to leave to find her father and Bond. She started gently walking as she was checking if the young man was still there. "ouf, he left" she sighed, as she started running toward another direction, until she bumped into his leg.
· "Hey, are you okay?" he asked, before feeling some kind of weird energy coming from her
· "I am okay, thank you mister" she said with a fake smile.
· "Where are your parents little one?" he asked.
· "There" she pointed toward Loid who thankfully could be seen from where they were.
· "Oh, that's your dad?" he asked.
· "Yep, and super strong" she said hoping Yujin would get scared of Loid.
· "I see" he said with an annoyed look, "What if Kenjaku wasn't really dead" he said starring at Loid, Anya saw it as opportunity to run away, so she started using her little feet to flee. Unfortunately, Yujin saw it as a confirmation that she was some kind of creation like him, but somehow still had some compassion in his heart to think that she was like him, cause after all he was able to feel her human side.
· "Hey there, don't worry I won't hurt you" he shouted as he started following her, but Anya didn't believe him, she was waaay to scared of him, and decided to run for it, she ran toward her father but then heard Bond's thoughts about the dark blue dog "I must protect Anya from this creature", which triggered her to change direction by taking a turn by a big chain tree.
· "Hey what are you doing your father is over there."
· "Leave Anya alone" she said as she kept running, the girl was completely out of puff, she almost gave up until she saw her mother from afar.
· "Mommy" she shouted "A bad guy is following me" she added.
· "A bad guy" she thought before taking a good look at Anya and who was following her.
· "How dare you follow my daughter you creep?" she shouted before flying into the air, then threw a right kick, which was stopped by Yuji's arms.
· "She must be a professional in martial arts." He thought to himself, before avoiding another one of her attacks. "I can't sense any cursed energy from her, or from the blondie right there. But her it is another story" he thought again before fighting back by almost hitting Yor with a normal punch, thankfully she was able to avoid it
· "Who is this guy? Someone who wants to take revenge on me or something?" she thought to himself.
· "I am not a creep madam."
· "Then why are you after my daughter."
· "I just wanted to..." he said before being interrupted by the voice of Megumi.
· "I am sorry about him m'am, but he meant no harm trust me" he said.
· "What happened here?" Loid asked.
· "Loid, this man was running after Anya, I saw it with my own eyes." Yor said as she was still wary of the man.
· "The thing is that your daughter reminds him of his little sister" Megumi said.
· "My??" Yuji murmured astonished.
· "You, see me and this man became orphans during the war, in addition to that some of us have lost their siblings, just like my friend right here. And your daughter looks almost exactly like his little sister, they also seem to be of the same age" he added
· "How old are you sweat heart?"
· "Anya is 7"
· "My sister would have turned 8 this month," Yujin said with a solemn expression. Then, he forced a smile, gently running his hand through the back of his head in a bashful manner.
