章 11: Prophecy And Promise
Lenin is in his room, holding the apple, on a conference call with Liya and Sharia.
Liya says, "I'm ready, guys."
Sharia responds, "I'm ready, pest."
Lenin suggests, "Let's have a bite, then."
The three of them vanish from their rooms.
The next moment, they find themselves together in Woodenpool Educational City.
Sharia remarks, "Now, where is that old hag?"
"Welcome to Woodenpool, kids," the old lady says, kicking him on the butt.
The three of them have a conversation with her in a huge room.
"Woodenpool is a place where we teach kids like you about the unseen part of history. Our aim is to prepare you kids for the upcoming disaster of the world."
Lenin interrupts, asking, "What kind of disaster?"
"We believe there will be a war between Dresha and Odresha again," the old lady responds.
Liya inquires, "Why?"
The old lady explains, "It's a prophecy. And a promise."
"Alright then. Three of you will be in Block 12 and Class 2002. Your apples will give you a signal. It'll start glowing before your class, and you'll have 10 minutes to get ready," she says.
Liya asks, "Ma'am, do you happen to know someone named Karl Harvey?"
The old lady acknowledges, "Of course, I know. He was one of the highest intellectuals of Woodenpool. But he went missing years ago. Why do you ask?"
"I'm his younger sister, actually," Liya reveals.
"I see," the old lady responds.
Lenin thinks, "Two schools simultaneously, just great," while Sharia says, "I get everything, but who the hell are you, old hag?"
"Stop calling me that," the old lady retorts, kicking his butt again.
Lenin asks, "Hey, granny, are you people allowed to go there?"
"To Odresha? Well, of course. Once a student completes the basic training, then," the old lady answers.
"I was asking about Okabi, but this will work," Lenin thinks. "About this basic training..."
Their apples start glowing, and the old lady says, "It is time then. See you."
The three of them stand in front of a room.
"Block 12," Liya says.
"Class 2002," Sharia adds.
"Okay, then," Lenin concludes.
They enter the classroom with many unfamiliar faces, but Lenin spots someone familiar.
"Hey, it's you."
Liya asks, "Who is she?"
Lenin replies, "It's the girl from the Woodenpool jungle."
"What the hell are you talking about, pest?" Sharia questions.
The girl asks, "Um... do I know you?"
"Good morning, teacher," everyone greets as the teacher enters the classroom.
"Good morning, students. I am George Munsey, age 29. I am going to be your class teacher. Since this is a new batch, everyone stand up one by one and introduce yourselves."
Everyone introduces themselves.
"I am Josef Sharia. I am 15 years old. I like to kick, I mean, I like boxing and mixed martial arts."
"I am Liya Harvey. I am 14 years old. I like to draw and write."
"Jacob Lenin, 15 years old. And I like to, um... stay alone, maybe."
"How annoying could that pest be?!" Sharia mutters.
Liya says, "Lenin just being Lenin."
Now it's the girl's turn, the one from the Woodenpool jungle.
"Um... I am... Um... I am Orni Johnson. Um..."
"C'mon, we don't have all day," Sharia remarks.
".. Um... I am Orni Johnson. I'm 15 years old. I like to play the piano."
"Okay. That includes the introduction part. Each of you is requested to read the rule book properly. We will start the training program from the next day. That's all," Sir George concludes.
