Cecilia's POV

In anger, Denver called off the meeting, grabbed my arm, and pulled me out of the meeting hall.

"Let go of me, Denver!" I yelled at his face.

"How dare you, Celia!" He questioned me in anger, as his grip tightened.

I was a little bit taken aback by the instant nickname he gave to me but I didn't let it get the best of me.

"You started this, Denver," I said.

"Started it? Is it my fault that my heart doesn't beat for you?" He curled his lips, sounding arrogant.

"Denver, you have no respect for me. I know you have all the right to marry a hundred wives but I'm still your wife. You neglected my feelings and my pride by introducing your so-called lover to me." I rambled with words, explaining to him.

"You have no right, no fucking right to go against my order or try to ruin my reputation in front of the elders." He warned me.
