章 2: A shocking encounter

"Here a book for dark elementary, another book for Curses, a book for enchantment, a book for toxicology, a book for magical combat, a book for summonology and lastly a book for blood and dark arts." Mailyn said tossing Neil seven heavy books from the shelves. "Am I supposed to read those!!" Neil couldn't help but regret his decision to becoming a dark mage.
"now we need two items, a subspace and a mana aid." Mailyn said as she walked into another department of the shop. "Hello Mailyn, what brings you here again?"The shop keeper asked with a pleasant look on her face as Mailyn pointed at Neil. "I want a subspace ring and a portable mana aid" Se replied as the shopkeeper quickly rushed to where several items were stacked and brought out two rings, "They're each of high quality, the silver one is the subspace while the black one with a blue diamond is the mana aid, they both cost ten thousand gold each."
"Thank you, see you later!"Mailyn said as she collected the rings in exchange for twenty thousand gold coins. "You can put them on by your self, the silver one which is a subspace device can allow you to store items in it, it helps for convenient and efficient movement. The black one is a mana aid, it aid's you when casting spells it also temporarily stores mana." Mailyn detailedly explained as she gave Neil the two rings.
"I've seen gather used it before I've always wanted one, good thing he taught me how to used it, it would have been embarrassing to ask her?" Neil thought to himself as he stretched his hand towards the huge bag if books he was carrying releasing a white most which absorbed the book.
"It seems you're quite familiar with the subspace device, anyways wait here, there's something important I have to do!" Mailyn said as she walked towards another part of the store, meanwhile Neil was thinking how odd it was to wear three rings on the same hand when someone bumbed into him, the person was also carrying some heavy loads, well mostly books which fell to the ground after the collision.
"I'm sorry!" Neil said as he bent down to help the person pick up the books. "it's okay, I was the one who bumped into you!" A soft low feminine voice was heard, Neil couldn't help but raise his head to look at the person who turned out to be a beauty goddess, her beauty could be very well compared to that of Mailyn, she had piercing Hazel coloured eyes that seemed to look down on everything, combined with her long silky aqua blue hair, her skin was flawless without a single black spot or blemish.
"These books are you also going to be attending Winshley academy?" Neil asked trying to star a conversation as things was already getting awkward. "I guess so, from the looks of it you're also going to be attending right?" She asked as he looked quite around her age. "Yes, I hope we can be friends when we meet in the academy?" Neil asked as he stood up after helping her porch up her books. "Sure why not, my name is Chloe Rynord, I look forward to seeing you at the academy" she said with a low voice while putting on a gentle smile.
"Well I'm Neil Nava and I look forward as well" Neil said with a friendly smile. "I gotta go, my father is waiting for me outside!" She said as she walked towards the exit without looking back. "what happened? why did I act friendly towards him, he was also kind of cut, I liked his eyes! why am I thinking like that?" Chloe asked herself in a. unsure manner a she shook her head to get rid of the thought.
"What's that look on your face, how can you put on such face before the public eyes, where the hell is your pride!" A man standing in front of a carriage said to Chloe In a stern manner.
"Sorry father!" Chloe said with a low voice as she put on a slightly more serious face with a hint of pride in her face.
"It seems you found your self a girlfriend, how cute!" Mailyn voice was heard from behind Neil who almost got startled. "She's just a new student like him she had a beautiful name though, Chloe Rynord" Neil said with a sweet smile on his.
"wait a minute, did you say Rynord?" Mailyn asked with a very surprised expression on her face, "Yes, is the name familiar?" Neil asked with high curiosity as he wanted to know the background of his first friend.
"How do I put this? The Rynords are a group of proud nobles that hails directly from the magic tower alongside the Reize family, it's way rare sight to see one who would casually have a random conversation in public with a stranger let alone befriends them!" Mailyn explained as she looked at Neil for a hint on why or how they became friend's.
"Well who knows it could probably be my good charm, indeed nobody can resist my manly charm!" neil said while stroking his hair gently to the side in a charming way.
"Very funny, I'll drop you off at an inn close to the port, I'll give you a nap incase you get lost, tomorrow you're should go to the port and maybe once you're there you'll figure it out, there'll also be a lot of people like you waiting there so just blend in!"
