"Shi Yi, are you going to be late again today?" Mother Tang spoke as soon as she took the phone from her granddaughter. 

Earlier, Mother Tang had been eavesdropping on her granddaughter's conversation and heard a bit about her daughter's plan.

"Hm..." Tang Shi Yi lowered her gaze to look at the documents on her desk. "Mom, I have an appointment with a friend."

Mother Tang heaved a sigh. "Alright then. I understand."

With Quan Lian away, her daughter has been very busy at the company. Fortunately, Tang Xiao's condition was better and Mother Tang could help to look after her two obedient grandchildren at home.

"But Shi Yi, come home earlier if you can," Mother Tang spoke. "I always worry whenever you come back later. The city is not that safe for a woman."
