Crusch rode over to her gathered army, riding to Wilhelm specifically. She seemed to be discussing something with him as both the beast man, Japanese boy and blue-haired girl also approached them.
Raito and Suki stood some distance from them, talking amongst themselves. Whilst these people discussed what to do next, most of the others were shivering in fear. Even with all the leaders alive and well, the idea of fighting three White Whales was too much.
Crusch finished planning what to do and then turned to all the soldiers gathered. "Stop quivering in fear! Look here, you see this boy, he is weaker than anyone on this battlefield! But has he given up? No!
I don't care if you're afraid, weak, or powerless. Never give up! The only way we lose is if we give up. This might seem like an unwinnable situation but look there, two foreign nobles, and do they look afraid? No! Have confidence in the strength of not just me, Wilhelm and Ricardo, but also them, undoubtedly the strongest people on the battlefield."
Crusch shouted to all the people gathered, a noble and inspiring aura surrounded her as she spoke those words of encouragement.
"Hey, what was that for?" The Japanese boy called out for his lack of strength grumbled, not appreciating being called out in front of everyone.
The morale increased and everyone seemed pumped up and ready for battle. Good timing as well seeing as this is when two of the three whales attacked.
"My soldiers, follow me!" Crusch shouted out, pointing her sword into the sky and riding away from where everyone was gathered.
Ricardo did the same for his soldiers shouting out, "Come on guys, follow me to slay this whale!" His shout was filled with excitement and enthusiasm, enjoying fighting maybe a little too much.
Both Armies split up and attracted one whale each, leaving both Raito and Suki in the middle, with one whale left. The only problem was that this whale was high up in the sky, far out of the reach of Raito and even Crusch wouldn't be able to reach it with her sword slash.
"Do you have any magic that will allow us to fly up there?" Raito asked Suki whilst looking up at the whale in the sky, a knowing smile on his face.
"Well maybe, I don't have any spells to make you fly but I do have a spell that could launch you up there," Suki said after a moment of pondering.
"Fine, do it," Raito responded with a decisive look on his face, ready to end this mission once and for all.
"Okay, ready? 1, 2, 3 Go!" Suki exclaimed and then unleashed a type of wind magic on go, "Updraft!"
Raito got launched into the air, as if he got shot out a cannon multiplied by ten. He rapidly closed in on the whale high in the sky, and as he was reaching the zenith he only just about made it to the underbelly of the whale.
Just as he was about to start his descent his breathing pattern changed and something akin to lighting wrapped around his hand. He jousted his hand towards the whale and penetrated the skin, hanging onto the whale and staying up in the air.
He then used his stand to continuously punch the underbelly of the whale, causing ruptures in its flesh. The whale released a roar and flew erratically, trying to shake off the thing hurting it. This allowed Raito the opportunity to jump on top of its head and continue his assault there.
The continuous strikes to the head from King Crimson resulted in the whale becoming dizzy and unfocused. It started to descend to the ground, gathering speed fast. Raito jumped off its head in the direction of Suki, entrusting his safe landing to her.
Suki used the same magic again but with less power to slow his momentum. Raito then landed gracefully on his feet, then looked toward the whale rapidly closing in on the ground.
"Suki now!" Raito commanded and pointed to the area below the whale, a confident smirk on his face, anticipating the completion of his first mission.
"Hai!" Suki pointed her small hands in the direction Raito pointed, saying the words "Earth Spike!" That resulted in a massive sharp spike coming out from the ground right under the whale, now descending at a rapid pace.
The White Whale, something feared, fell onto the earth spike and... died. The spike went right through it coming out the other side, blood spraying everywhere and its eyes lost their original colour.
-At another battle-
Wilhelm was running along the back of the whale as continued to slash at it, creating deal cuts and spilling lots of blood. Crusch was sending slashes from a distance supporting her troops and making sure nobody died.
The Japanese boy and the blue-haired girl rode their mounts underneath the whale and the blue-haired girl sent needles of ice varying in size at the whale, piercing the skin.
The magical cannons continuously launched beams of magic at the side of the whale, and the soldiers did as much damage as they could whilst also making sure not to get in the way of the main damage dealers.
All of these attacks overwhelmed the whale. But with its skin that's resistant to magic and large size compared to the cuts on its body, it still had some life left in it. That was until a massive sound resounded from some distance away. It was the sound of something falling to the ground as if someone had dropped something if what they dropped was a skyscraper.
This sound wasn't the only surprising thing, no, something even more shocking happened. The whale they were just fighting disappeared as if just an illusion. A similar scene was happening with the other whale some distance away.
Every soldier still conscious turned their eyes to the whale with a spike running through it in the middle of the battlefield, and then to the two standing closest to it. They had defeated The White Whale, a MaBeast of legends.
-authors note-
I felt like it was a little too slow paced so I decided to wrap it up. Was this chapter good or not? Do you prefer it being slow or not?
Anyway after this mission how long do you think there should be before the next mission. Do you think some SOL after this?
Tell me your opinions in the comments, it helps me a lot. Also what do you think the rewards should be, I've already got something planned but if there's a better idea then I'll use that.
Thank you and good morning/night
