章 38: Reina the Officer

Nerissa is not disturbed by what Malacai said. 

"I do hate you, but as I said, since it's inevitable, I don't try to fight it. And I'll be honest, if I count all the losses and gains, my life is better with you now."

Her answer surprises him. Malacai then smirks, "I'll ask you again in one hundred years and see what your answer is."

Hearing this, Nerissa thinks he's just joking. 

But Malacai is serious; there's a lot of information in his mind that he hasn't yet shared with Nerissa. 

He's one hundred percent sure that if they aren't killed by other providence users, they'll still be alive and healthy.

Soon, they arrive at the house.

As Malacai is about to get out, Nerissa's hand suddenly grasps his. Malacai looks at her, confused.

Nerissa's cheeks turn red, and her tone becomes soft. "Do you notice anything different about me today?"
