章 162: One Hundred and Sixty-Second

Morning came quickly enough, and they didn't linger in the town long enough to go exploring the morning markets.

So long as they were technically within the borders of Verilonia, or very close to them, those people who had plans to be rid of the Keybearer would be able to easily track their movements.

Once they were deeper inside Rysnalia - or even deeper, off in other nations that didn't border Verilonia at all, they'd be out of reach of all but the most dedicated peepers, and her progress - or lack of progress - could no longer be closely scrutinized.

So long as she returned back to Verilonia with a Key, then she would be justified for whatever it was she was doing or however long she took.

Within reason, anyway.

Because she really was the Keybearer. She'd found two Keys already. Just because she'd horribly failed at finding the third doesn't mean she...suddenly wasn't!
