The sight of a large man carrying two people would look weird and elicit shock looks and calling the authorities. In the Underworld though, it seem to be common sight as they are not stop.
Then again, Ian had burned the two thugs cloaks and anything that may link them with the Dark Hound, the sole exception being the tokens they carried, which find a good place in his pocket.
Also, Kell make it seem like he was carrying drunk friends of theirs toward an inn, so most people just assume that. Which is correct, except, they are not friends, the two people are drunk from the punches to the face they receive and Ian and Kell have no desire to get to an inn, or to rest for that matter.
Soon, they reach the warehouse in question. Ian opened it, to reveal several tools he had bought for the sake of interrogating the thugs. Kell glanced at the tools in question and looked at his best friends in worry.
"They sold torture tools here," Ian answered even without Kell asking. "And the owner of this warehouse seem to not be surprise by what I brought before renting this place. He probably used to it,"
Kell merely nodded, not wanting to delve on the rabbit hole that is what are allowed in the Underworld. He did not have the energy or sanity to be bothered.
"Let's get out guest as uncomfortable as they could," Ian said, before getting some ropes and began to tie the two to a chair, Kell helping him.
-x-
"Urgh," one of the thugs groaned, finding his face slammed by a bucket of water.
"Looks like sleeping ugly over here woke up," the thug heard.
"So those his friend," another voice said.
The thug tried to move, but find his limbs restrained. He tried to break free but whoever capture him know their stuff.
Realizing he cannot break free, he opened his eyes, hoping to see if he recognize who capture them. When he did, he wished he did not do it. After all, he currently watching two people targeted by his gang looked at him with looks that cannot be described as anything but bloodthirsty.
"We are going to ask you some questions. You have no right refuse. If you do so, we will make sure you will regret it," the smaller one said.
"Let me go or the Dark Hounds will come after you?!" hoping to use the name of his gangs, he yelled, thinking it will cause them to release or at least be more scared to use force on him.
"Kell," no sooner than that, he realize he should not have done so, as he was punched on the cheek, the force strong enough to send one of his tooth flying, along with his entire body.
As the thug tried to clear the ringing in his ear, he find his hair being pulled, his body lifted upward as the one who punched him glare at him.
"Talk," to the big one said, "or I make sure you feel my real punch," hearing this cause the thug to tremble.
"I am part of the Dark Hound! They will have your blood and make sure that you watch as the bitched with you are rape in front of you!" the two have a dark look before the small one grab a hammer and toss it to the big one.
"His knees," while the thugs do not know what he is talking about, he soon find out as the hammer fall upon his knees, shattering it.
"Aargh!" the thug screamed, the pain too much as he could only let pained yells, almost biting his tongue.
"His other knee," however, his captor have no more mercy as the big one slammed the hammer to his knees, making him howl like a banshee.
As the thugs let out pained sob, Ian turned towards the other thug, who wet himself seeing the two brutality.
"Tell us what we wanted to know, and we will give you a chance to leave the Dark Hound and not make an enemy out of us. If not," he pointed towards the no-knees thug, "This will happen to you,"
The thug nodded like it is the last thing that could save his life. He is not wrong with that thought process.
"Now tell us why the Dark Hound is after the alchemist?" he leaned toward the thug.
"I don't know!" Ian about to signal Kell when he continue to scream, "I really don't know! But what I do know is that the alchemist has something he wanted, or at least that what he said and I overhead. I am just a lowly grunt,"
"Hhmm," Ian contemplate on the new information, planning to ask Euralle about it some some.
"Then, what can you tell about the Dark Hound?" he asked. After all, if they are going to fight with the gang, it better to know as many things as possible about them.
"The Dark Hound is a second rate gang, but it is not something knew. But we are consider among the top three. Well, before the two of you killed a lot of our fighters. Even so, we still in the number 5 spots.
While there are no stronger fighters, the powerful one that survive is in similar level with the one you killed. That still left about 4 executives level. And then, the numbers of grunts are still a lot. The one you killed enmasse are part of the middle group, not strong enough than the executives, but stronger than the grunts,"
Ian absorbed the knowledge. At the very least, he knew the numbers they will need to face, but he wanted to take them by grain of salt. Who knew if the thug lied to them or not.
"Last question before I let you leave," the thug sighed in relief, "Where is your base?" the relief is short-lived as he turned paler than before.
"I don't know," Ian arched his brows at that, "I really don't. The grunts stay at the place owned by the gang but very few goes to the main base. The main base grunts are assigned there and would never leave.
The only one who knew would be the executives and maybe some of the stronger people underneath them," Ian nodded in understanding.
"Then, where is the gathering points of the grunts?" he asked.
"If you have a map, I will show you," Ian took out the map of the city and the underworld, and the thugs quickly point several spots.
"Good, but we are going to keep your for now," "Bu-" "There is no telling if you lie to us. But if you did, then we will make you regret it," at that moment, Kell took out a knife and catastrophe the first thugs, making him scream in pain.
Ian looked at the man right in the eyes, "If you lie, that is your fate, understood?" he took the excessive nodding as an answer.
