As Kell lifted the head of the chieftain, the entire camp went silent before the men all roared.
"We won!"
"Hell yeah, we did!"
"We actually survive,"
"Let us celebrate the moment we get out of this blasted forest!"
While the men are celebrating, the head is in tears, watching as the young man manages to kill the chieftain. While he had his battle, he was able to see how the young man managed to fight and kill the chieftain.
"Looks like another adventurer with a bright future has come from our small town," he said, happiness can be heard from his tone.
However, as the men celebrate, the veteran captain roared, "Kill all the goblins first! Then celebrate all you want!"
They heard the orders and began chasing after the green monsters. However, with their leader dead, there is no more cohesion from the monsters as the goblins just focus on escaping with some trying to fight back but falling by the blades of the guards and adventurers.
While the battle rages on, Kell slumps near the dead body of the chieftain, the exhaustion taking its toll on him.
"Recover, Refresh," he heard before feeling his body become lighter.
"It seems our great hero is already too tired to join the fight," Ian jokes before taking a seat next to Kell.
"Haha. You try to fight that monster, then see how tired it is," Ian raised his brows.
"Really, because if I remember it correctly, you are running circles with him," he pointed out.
"Well, yeah, but it is still tiring," Kell refuted.
"Sure, do you think we can find the girls in this mess of a battlefield?" Ian asked as they watched adventurers and guards chasing after goblins.
"I don't know but if we don't try we never know, right?" Ian shook his head. To think his old friend will repeat what he used to say during their previous life.

With the monsters routing and trying to flee, the post-battle extermination is made a lot easier. By the time Ian and Kell find the girls, the camp is already destroyed, burned to the ground by the army in the order of the veteran captain.
They march to the forward camp, the head wanting them to rest and repucurate before making the trek back to the town. With how tired everyone else is, no one refuses the offer to rest.
They also counted and stored the dead, some people began to mourn once given the chance. Ian is glad he was not one of them, as he did not think how he would feel if he lost any of his party members, especially Fiona.
One day rest later, they began their march back to town, eager to rest in a non-hostile environment.

When they returned, they were met with shock awe, and a celebration by the mayor. The head had sent some messenger to deliver the message of their victory, and the mayor had deemed it necessary to celebrate the survivor first.
And so, when the goblin extermination force arrived in town, they were met with a feast prepared by the townspeople. While there is excitement, there is also sadness as some have left the world for good.
As the mayor gathered the people to the town square, he began his speech.
"As you have seen, the one that goes to exterminate the monsters that will threaten our town had turned up victorious. However, they paid a lot for this victory. Their energy, their bodies, some even with their lives.
For today, we will celebrate those who survived and ward off the threat of the goblins. Tomorrow, we will mourn for those who are lost forever inside the forest. So, for today, we will feast to our heart content, and drown our sorrow with booze and food!"
The townspeople answered their mayor with a roar of approval as they began to head towards the table, eager to fill themselves with good food after being forced to just eat rations of dry oats, jerkies, and nuts for the entire week.
While most of the guards and adventurers were celebrating, some preferred a more quiet celebration, hence, the 5 decided to take a seat furthest from where the adventurers already guzzling on booze like drinking water.
"Those guys are so getting a hangover by tomorrow," Ian shook his head at such tomfoolery.
"I don't think they care that much," Fiona replied, having a wry smile as they watched two drunken adventurers beginning to wrestle one another.
"As long as they don't strip naked, I will be fine with anything," Lisa exclaims before taking a sip of her wine.
"I don't mind if someone else strips naked," Ana said, eying Kell who suddenly felt self-conscious all of the sudden.
"Save the flirting and the sex after the celebration," Ian suggested before returning to his own wine, feeling the liquid burn down his throat in a pleasurable way.
"Alright. Still, I can't wait for our promotion," ah, Ian knew he almost forgot something. He had asked of the head of their promotion, and he already approved of it. Especially he and Kell, what they did could only be matched by those at the peak of Bronze rank.
As for the girls, they were at the bottom, but closer to the middle as well. But the most important thing is that all of them will be promoted.
As he was about to think of their future plan, he was pulled by both his best friend and girlfriend. "Think of the future tomorrow, now let us celebrate," Kell exclaimed.
Ian sighed, before following the bigger man to the table, a smile on his face. Hey! He can't just read books and learn all the time now, could he?

The very next day, the town square looked like a giant had decided to come and wreck the place, leaving the building alone. The bodies of adventurers and guards, alive thankfully, are all over the place, most groaning in pain and misery, the consequences of their action finally coming back to bite them at the rear.
As for the hero who managed to slay the chieftain, he was lying on a bed, clutching his head as a severe headache slammed him.
"What happened?" he asked, expecting no answer.
"We fucked," he nodded before finally noting the voice sounded male. He turned his head like a rusted gear, spotting the source of the voice.
"Yes, we fuck," the shrill scream woke up everyone in the area.

"Haha hahaha!" Ian is rolling on the floor, clutching his belly as he laughs, loudly.
"Don't laugh," it only makes Ian laugh harder. "I seriously thought I fuck my best friend,"
The girls are looking away, all of them turning their heads but one could see they are shaking, their attempt to hold their laughter failing miserably.
