"Next is what kind of commissions we are going to take? We should take as many commissions as possible if we want to get better equipment.
We should take the limit of 5 commission as a group," Ian told them.
"That seems reasonable. We should try to get better commissions but I don't think we can get those," Ana exclaimed.
"Actually, we can," Ian told her.
"Really?!"
"Yes, if we register ourselves as a party, then our party rank will be D-rank. We can take higher-rank subjugation commissions, maybe even hunting down goblins.
As for gathering and hunting commissions, we could grab 2 or 3 as a party, I will have to ask the receptionist tomorrow," Ian muttered to himself.
"Alright, let's go to sleep after this. We want to wake up early for tomorrow,"
-x-
"Let's go, Kell. Seriously, you are the more athletic one, don't you usually wake up early for training," Ian asked Kell, who gave a big yawn. Across their room, Fiona was leading the other two, both looking groggy as well.
"Where is the energy you usually have for the rest of the day, Ana?" Fiona muttered as he led the two to the door.
The early riser exchanged glances before they gave the others a good luck sign. To be the responsible one in the group, is truly, the most unappreciated job in the world, previous and current.
-x-
"So, how many commissions we can take and how high the commissions we can take?" Ian asked the receptionist, who finally decided to wear a freaking nametag, displaying the name, Bobo.
In hindsight, the receptionist probably did not want his name to be known for a very good reason. Ian sent a silent prayer to the man hated by his parents. Seriously, what kind of couple named their child Bobo, especially if some arranged the letters, which would lead to a very different meaning?
-x-
"Aahchoo!" a middle-aged man sneezed loudly.
"Bless you, Tito,"
-x-
"Aachoo!" a middle-aged woman sneezed.
"Bless you Pusu,"
-x-
"As a group your size, you can take up to D-rank commissions. However, only two are permitted. Considering you have some members in the E-rank, you can take 2 E-rank commissions as well," the receptionist told them.
Ian gave the man a nod before heading towards the commission boards. After looking over the commissions, Ian took four commission papers before giving them to the man.
"Let's see, two E-rank gathering commissions as well as one D-rank hunting commission as well as one D-rank subjugation commission. Alright, you can go now. Remember, the deadline is today,"
"Alright," Ian replied before heading towards his party members.
"Let's see, one asking for 10 Blue Mushroom and the other one asking for 10 Light Grass. Then, there is also the hunting commission, asking us to hunt a Wild Boar. Then the subjugation mission," Ana's eyes widened comically as she looked at Ian with a worried look.
"Are you sure we are ready for this commission?" on the piece of paper, detailing a goblin nest extermination.
-x-
"I still can't believe you made us take the commission," Ana voiced her disbelief.
"There are no good ones close to us. After all, we still need to head back to the town to complete our other commissions so I decided to take that one as well. Not to mention Wild Boars are spotted near the place the goblin nest are at,".Ian explained his reasoning.
Ana conceded, seeing it make sense. However she did have some questions for the boy, "Do you think we can handle it?"
"With both Kell and I, it will be a lot easier. As for you three, I did not see your skill that much as I was busy fighting for our life," Ian told her.
Ana nodded. Even if he made it look easy, the fight took all of their concentration, making him unable to pay much attention to them.
"I ho-" "Blue Mushroom," Ian pointed out, Kell jogged to the location before grabbing it and putting it inside the rucksack.
"Sorry, you are saying something?" Ian asked Ana, who shook his head, "Just forget it," she told him.
Ian gave an unconvinced look but focused on looking for the other herbs they needed. Soon, they were able to complete the E-rank commissions.
-x-
"There it is," Ian muttered, staring at the Wild Boar. Ian determined it had the same size as the wild boar at home, except for its tusk, which it had four of.
The others were beside him, staring at the creatures carefully. "So, what is the plan?" Lisa asked.
"Can you pierce it's hides?" Ian asked Lisa, who nodded.
"But, it will be hard, as we need to take out 3 Wild Boars for the commission," Lisa voiced her concern.
"In that case, Fiona, you can cast Light, right?" Ian asked the blonde, who nodded.
"Then, here is what we are going to do..."
-x-
Lisa nocked her arrow and targeted the Wild Boar the furthest from their group. As she set her sight on it, she released the arrow, the arrow piercing the eyes of the boar, killing it instantly.
As the Wild Boar spotted the arrow and their dead friends, they grunted before stampeding. At that moment, Fiona cast Light, blinding the boars and making them crash into one another.
With the boars rolling on the ground, both Kell and Ana charged at two boars, swiftly stabbing them in the head.
As they killed the boars, the rest began to run away, their sight returning to them. "Good, but how are we going to carry this?" Lisa asked the hard question.
Thankfully, Ian had prepared a solution. He took out a small bag before putting the three boars inside, to the astonishment of the party.
"W-wait, is that a spatial bag?" being a magician, it is not a surprise Fiona is the first person to recognize it.
"Yes, I borrowed it from the guild. They allowed it for first-time use and for free at that, but for the second time, we need to pay a lot," Ian told them.
"There is a reason why I accept the commissions," Ian told them. Now, we should prepare ourselves for the hardest commission of the day," Ian reminded them.
"Is the nest close by?" Lisa asked. Ian took out a map before checking it.
"Yes," Ian confirmed, "It is close by near a small hill there is supposed to be a big hole leading to the nest," he told the details.
Nodding, the party headed towards the best, ready for what will be a test of their skills.
