章 181: A grudge against Ryle

Aunty Lu walked towards the dresser and picked up the photo frame. There was a picture of a young girl who was holding on to the hand of a woman who seemed to be in her late 20s. 

''That's my mother,'' Ivy said from where she stood, seeing Aunty Lu's interest in the photo frame.

Aunty Lu snapped out of her daze and placed the photo frame down on the dresser, realizing that her actions might have been rude.

''I see. I was just curious,'' she smiled and quickly walked out of the room, but the corners of her smile were stiff.

Ivy looked at the woman's retreating back before she glanced at the picture. A part of her hoped that Aunty Lu's expressions were just a coincidence and she, or anyone related to her, was not another person whom her mother had offended when she was alive. 

She lost her appetite and went to sit back on the bed, looking at the ceiling listlessly.
