章 84: Hiding behind the door

Daisy could feel his warm breath tickling her skin as the man whispered, ''Is it really none of my business?" there was something so different about the way he spoke those words, in a way that made her feel a warmth in her body. 

''No, it's not,'' Daisy pressed her palms on his chest as she pushed him away from her before she left the room without looking back. 

Once she was far away from the man, she pressed her hand on her chest, feeling her heart thumping under her palm. 

A hint of confusion rose in her heart. What exactly did he want from her? He stated the compensation amount and she settled it. She was the one who lied to him in the first place and she compensated for it. Was he not satisfied with that much?

Bewildered by his behavior and her reaction, Daisy stood there, lost in her thoughts. By the time she went downstairs, Ryle had already left.
