章 66: Home

"I guess we're back home sooner than expected," Thorn quipped while walking across the streets of Dein.

Talon was walking beside her, his expression stoic, but, both of them were on high alert as they navigated the filthy cobblestone streets of the slums.

The roads were in disrepair, strewn with dust and occasional stains of dried vomit from intoxicated residents, as well as patches of blood.

The other members of the Gifted Division walked behind Talon and Thorn. 

"Did you two live here?" Asked Rokara while holding her nose, trying her best to filter out the putrid smell that radiated across the slums.

The others did the same, the putrid stench was torturing them, except for Talon and Torn, neither of them had a change in their expression.

The stench was a simple presence in the Slums of Dein that both Talon and Thorn had to learn to live with. 

"Yes, we did. But we need to hurry up." Said Talon, his tone suggesting even more urgency.
