While Fury shivered in fright, Max conversed with the President as if he were chatting with a friendly neighbor.
"Young man, it seems you really love your sister," the President said, smiling warmly while subtly stealing glances at Edward, who stood dutifully behind Max like the perfect butler.
The President's eyes lingered on Edward, recognizing him instantly. 'He's the same guy from that Torture Night video,' the President thought, easily recalling the haunting footage where Edward had brutally peeled the skin off the man who had harmed Max's sister, Pepper.
Max noticed the President's gaze but chose not to comment on it. Instead, he continued the conversation smoothly. "Of course, yes. She's the only family I have left."
"Yes, not to mention I've heard that those involved in your parents' accident are now… missing," the President said with a smile that belied his true thoughts, as if he were an old man discussing the weather.
"Really? What a pity. I was just about to file a complaint to ensure my parents get the justice they deserve," Max sighed, feigning surprise as he spoke with a graceful demeanor.
'Justice, my rich ass,' the President thought inwardly as he gazed at the blue-eyed teen, who appeared as harmless as a puppy to the outside world. 'Do you really think I don't know that your men have literally tortured those people before feeding them to dogs?'
But the President knew better. Only a few were aware of how fearsome and unforgiving Max truly was. Not to mention the arsenal of weapons he had developed—he could easily become a tyrant who ruled over all. Fortunately for the President, and for the world, Max wasn't that kind of person.
For now.
To anyone in power with a shred of sanity, it was clear that Max was a ticking time bomb. The only spark needed to trigger an explosion was connected to two people: Virginia Potts, his sister, and Selene, the mysterious girlfriend by his side.
The President glanced at the muscular man accompanying him, deep in thought. 'Thankfully, he agreed to come here. At least he can handle the situation if anyone tries to disrupt this grand wedding, which feels more like a fuse waiting to be lit,' the President mused inwardly, his thoughts concealed behind a calm exterior.
Blue Marvel, on the other hand, stared at Max as if he were looking at a monster in human skin. The realization hit him hard. 'He's stronger than me,' he thought, the words echoing in his mind like a warning.
'Has the world changed so much?' Blue Marvel wondered. After the 90s, following his battle with Anti-Man, he had gone into seclusion, retreating to the depths of the ocean. But now, upon returning to the surface, he found himself surrounded by unsettling monsters disguised as guests at this wedding.
Swirling the wind in his hand, Blue Marvel's eyes landed on a golden-haired man who radiated an aura like a razor-sharp sword. Just sensing him felt like his own senses were being cut. The golden-haired man, Shiki, turned and looked back at him, clearly aware of Blue Marvel's probing gaze. Shiki smiled and casually waved his hand.
Blue Marvel was stunned. 'How did he locate me?' he thought, as he hesitantly returned the wave, still trying to process how someone could pinpoint him so effortlessly in this crowd.
Athough he done want to Brag but he was the strongest and is still is,
Blue Marvel, also known as Adam Brashear, is one of the most powerful and underrated heroes in the Marvel Universe. A former Marine and football player with PhDs in electrical engineering and theoretical physics, Adam was transformed into a super-powered being after an experiment went awry, exposing him to anti-matter energy. Gaining immense strength, invulnerability, and the ability to manipulate anti-matter, Blue Marvel became a hero during the 1960s, facing off against powerful threats like Anti-Man.
Despite his incredible power, which rivals the likes of Thor and the Sentry, Adam was forced into retirement by the U.S. government due to the racial tensions of the era. Reluctant to brag, Blue Marvel has quietly continued to protect the world, often behind the scenes, even as he carries the weight of being one of the most powerful beings on Earth.
For someone like Blue Marvel, who had spent years in seclusion after being one of the strongest heroes of his time, being so easily discovered was deeply unsettling. His powers, born from anti-matter energy, had made him a force to be reckoned with, and yet, here he was, feeling exposed in a way that he hadn't experienced in decades.
Meanwhile, Shiki, the golden-haired swordsman, was equally disturbed by the encounter. He had sensed the probing gaze of the black man earlier, and it didn't take long for him to realize who he was up against. 'He's stronger than me,' Shiki thought, his Observation Haki clearly indicating that he didn't stand a chance against this formidable opponent.
Shiki's instincts screamed at him, warning of the danger that Blue Marvel represented. 'I should inform the others about him,' Shiki decided, relaying the information to his allies with a sense of urgency. Even though Shiki was no stranger to powerful foes, there was something about Blue Marvel that set him on edge—a quiet, overwhelming power that he couldn't ignore.
Upon hearing Shiki's warning, many of the assembled guests glanced toward Blue Marvel, causing him to feel increasingly on edge. He could tell that most of them were weaker compared to him, but a few exuded a level of power that made him sweat slightly. The presence of these formidable individuals was unsettling, even for someone as experienced as Blue Marvel.
'What kind of wedding have you invited me to?' Blue Marvel thought as he observed the President continuing his conversation with Max, who seemed more like a monster than a mere guest. He couldn't help but curse under his breath, frustrated by the situation he had been thrust into.
Despite his irritation, Blue Marvel knew that he couldn't afford to let his guard down. 'Still, it seems I'll have to end my seclusion,' he mused, his gaze fixed on his wine. 'Who knows when I'll return to the surface next time? There might not be anything left.'
His eyes hardened with resolve as he prepared himself for any potential confrontation. The tranquility of the evening was a fragile facade, and Blue Marvel was ready for whatever came next.
