A couple sauntered into the orphanage home, following closely the messenger who was asked to lead them to the office where they were to settle and meet the girl they wanted to adopt.

The man was of old age while the woman was a little bit younger. Her face was expressionless as she walked, and deep down, she wanted to lock herself away in somewhere and shed tears. For so many years, she had been married to her husband yet there was no sign of pregnancy. It was only revealed to her that she was barren by the numerous doctors her husband had requested for her to meet.

Their only means of having a child was to go through adoption, as she didn't want any woman to carry her husband's child except her. It pained her that things had to happen this way, and now she found herself walking right into the office to be welcomed by Brienne who had a small smile on her lips.
