Keagan glanced at Simone and pulled her lips into a smile toward Wren. "I'd love to. I used to be a model, so meeting directors rarely happened."
The two women walked off, Gephardt just following them after throwing one last cold gaze at Simone. It was as if he was inscribing that woman's face in his head, so he could devour her in his sleep.
Keagan noticed the cat's action, but she was more focused on Wren's face. When Wren looked over, Keagan hid her shy smile. She also kept her gaze so low that she wouldn't meet anyone else's eyes. "Sorry, I was planning to cover for your escape. I should have planned better…"
