(Flash Back Continue)
As Dumbledore observed the chaos unfolding within the Ministry of Magic, his heart weighed heavy with concern for the students and allies who fought bravely against the dark forces.
But he didn't act, he knew well that to bring out Tom, he needed to stay away from the fight. Voldemort won't show himself if he acts this soon, becuase maybe Voldemort might not want to accept the fact that he is afraid of Dumbledore.
Dumbledore almost killed Grindelwald when he was at his peak. Full of dark magic and armed with the elder wand, and yet Dumbledore won the fight.
That how powerful Dumbledore was. And this was what terrified Voldemort to no hell. But time waits for no one, Dumbledore too was getting old and didn't have the edge he used to have in his prime.
But only a few knew, including Grindlewald that Dumbledore too had used Dark magic. He has long tainted his magic. He has to do it to defeat Grindlewald. But that was enough to change him forever.
Unlike others, Dumbledore knew the price one has to pay for that kind of power. He long understood the dangers of using dark magic.
It not only corrupts the magic of the one using it but also incages the witch or wizard. The price for using that kind of black magic once has to be paid even after their death.
Voldemort is no different. Sooner or later he will see the back slash of dark magic.
Once someone uses dark magic, they fall into a loop, at first its just free extra power, who don't like power, but later on, the dark magic totally corrupts a person, without powerful willpower, a person will just sink deeper into the madness and grow depended on dark magic.
To the point where the dark wizard will lose everything. All the power and all the magic. Even his life and soul.
Dumbledore sighed and kept on observing the fight in the ministry. After all, there is no point in thinking about that right now.
As the fight goes the inevitable happens someone dies, Harry's determination burns bright after that and rage consumes him, his pursuit of Bellatrix Lestrange fueled by righteous anger and grief.
But as Harry confronted Bellatrix, his rage blinded him to the true threat lurking in the shadows – Voldemort himself. The Dark Lord, emerged from the darkness, his presence casting a chill over the battlefield.
Dumbledore was just happy that Harry was the only one who ran after Bellatrix. It was obvious that it was a trap but Harry in his rage just didn't think.
With a flick of his wand, Voldemort unleashed a barrage of curses, his malevolent intent clear as he sought to vanquish his young adversary.
Despite Harry's valiant efforts, he found himself outmatched, his spells falling short against the dark magic of his foe.
Dumbledore was about to enter the scene from his hiding but that's when it happened, Harry cast a killing curse at Voldemort. Dumbledore's eyes widen.
This was bad, this simple curse is like a small amount of Dopamine, at first it looked like a simple spell, dark magic but no problem if used only once right?
Wrong, it's just the start, from the first cast of this killing curse, the magic will start to taint and sooner or later the witch or wizard will be corrupted, longing for more power and delve into much more dangerous dark magic.
It was then that Dumbledore intervened, It was already very late, but better later than never. The two wizards clashed in a duel of epic proportions, their spells colliding with thunderous force as the very air crackled with magic.
The outcome of the fight between Voldemort and Dumbledore was exactly like what happened in the movies or books. The only difference here was the scale of the battle.
Movies totally failed to show the real power of these two legendary wizards.
With every incantation, Dumbledore drew upon the depths of his power, channelling the ancient magic that coursed through his veins.
While Dumbledore was using the elder wand, he wasn't using the Law Of Death. That ancient magic wasn't something he could use again. It totally destroyed Grindlewald.
Dumbledore, someone who already has experienced the lure of dark magic only after using it once again Grindlewald, knew more than anyone how hard it is to remove the corruption of that ancient dark magic from his magical core and soul.
So Dumbledore by no means was using his real power. Becuase that magic comes with its own price.
And yet he was more than a match for Voldemort, a wizard already neck deep in dark magic.
And Its wasn't like the law of death, granted by the deadly hallow, was the only piece of ancient magic he could do.
Dumbledore wasn't a genius for nothing, to remove the corruption which plagued his soul and magical core, Dumbledore found his own way.
Use of another ancient magic, the Law Of Love.
Without anyone's help, Dumbledore was able to learn the law of love, strengthening himself and removing the traces of dark magic from his system.
He first used dark magic when he was even younger than Harry and at a very young age too he learned how dangerous this power was.
He had to lose too much to understand the power of love in his life, but that gave him power which he could control and not the other way around.
In the end, it was Dumbledore's unwavering resolve and formidable skill that prevailed, forcing Voldemort to retreat into the shadows once more. As the dust settled and the echoes of battle faded, Dumbledore stood victorious but for him that didn't matter, he always knew that he would win.
No matter what kind of dark lord, he is Dumbledore.
ULALALALALALALAL *cough* cough*.
Anyway, what he was worried about right now was Harry. He uses this magic and loses Hermione. He had to look after the boy.
