<STR: 5>
"Pfft-"
The secretary on the other hand, snorted as she tried to contain her laughter. Veins bulged out of Julius's neck as he watched.
He ignored her and looked back at the display, analysing his result.
'Even if the result is shit, it taught me something. It's the exact same value as the system displays.'
[Status.]
[Strength: 5]
[Agility: 3]
[Stamina: 2]
[Sense: 2]
'This is surprising… I wonder how it works.'
"Still, i'm surprised. I didn't expect you to be the average for an adult male, I was expecting a little less. That being said, compared to the average hunter which is twenty, it's way below."
Julius frowned.
If he were being completely honest, she was right on the dot. His strength was initially two. The reason it had become five was because he exchanged his level up point for three stat points and invested them into strength.
He had done this before heading to the hunter's organisation.
"Hua… Let's just carry on with the tests." He yawned.
-
The following test was done on a different room on treadmil, it was a test for his stamina.
This test took far longer than the previous ones. Julius was instructed to run for as long as he could before he was too tired to move.
And so he did, he ran for a whole 5 minutes before giving up.
[Energy: 10%]
<STA: 2>
Julius stared at his energy bar and the stamina result with a frown.
'I know I don't work out but am I that out of shape?'
Julius's eyes flickered to the secretary who was once again holding in her laughter.
'Will I be banned from the organisation if I punch her?' He wondered
-
The third test, was to measure his agility. Julius was placed in a room riddled with holes. The secretary was no longer accompanying him.
Instead, she spoke to him through a speaker.
"You see those holes around you? They shoot out balls, if a ball hits you, it's game over. Let me know when you're ready."
Julius instantly got into a defensive stance when he heard that.
"I'm ready." He responded.
*Poosh!*
At that instant, a ball was shot at him from one of the holes. It moved fast, almost hitting him as he swayed to the side.
'That was eas-'
Julius was interrupted as multiple balls rained down at him from every direction.
He reacted quickly and dodged two, but while on the verge of dodging the third, a separate ball that he had overlooked slammed him on the face.
The remaining balls crashed into him before dropping the floor.
'It felt like getting slapped.' Julius though to himself as he rubbed his face and arms.
They were still red from the hits.
"Pff- Ah-Ahaha…"
Through the speaker Julius could hear the secretary laughing to herself, it made even more veins bulge out of his neck.
'I'll punch her, I'll do it.'
"Agi-agility… th-three… hahaha-'
-
For the fourth and final test, Julius was sat in a room with a blindfold.
"For this one, we don't have to proper equipment so you'll have to make do with this variation."
Julius nodded nervously.
If he were to be completely honest, it was the most difficult type of test for him. Because of his Nightmares he was afraid of the darkness.
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
Before he could think too much on that fact he began to hear a beep.
"Let me know when you stop hearing the beep, the frequency changes with every beep. Once it's-"
"I can't hear it anymore." Julius responded.
"Already? Your hearing is that bad? Wow."
'Come down here, I dare you.' Julius thought to himself as he grit his teeth.
"Alright, for your next sense test you're meant to dodge a ball with your eyes still covered. Don't worry this one is much slower than the one in the agility test. Let me know when you're ready."
"I'm ready."
"Okay, start."
At first Julius began to frantically sway his head to the side. How else was he supposed to avoid something he couldn't see?
But he soon realised that nothing was being launched at him.
"You're not supposed to move until after the ball is shot, otherwise it won't count or shoot at you."
"Fine." Said Julius as he stopped and stood straight. "Let's do it ag-"
*Slam!*
Julius was interrupted as ball crashed right into his face, forcing him and the chair to fall over backwards.
"Ahahahaha!" She laughed out loud through the microphone.
At this point she didn't seem to care about holding it in.
Julius's anger went over the boiling point at that stage, he got up, grinning waiting for her to show up.
"Is the test done?" He asked smiling. Although he was smiling his eyes were not.
"Yeah, normally I'd test your sense of sight too but I doubt it'd be any different. Anyways your result was a two for sense."
<SEN: 2>
"With that we've concluded the tests."

"That being said, watching you perform today sure was amusing. Are you sure you don't want to become a comedian or something?"
Julius's brows twitched.
"I could say the same to you, with all that make up on your face, have you ever considered becoming a painter?" Julius responded with a smile.
The girl's smile twitched.
"A little aggressive, don't you think?"
"When you have a bitch laughing in your ear all day, do you really think you could put up a smile?"
The two stopped smiling and glared at each other. The tension could be felt in the air.
"You're quite confident for someone with an awakener level of zero." She humphed before walking out through the door.
Julius frowened as he looked down at his results
<Julius Night>
<Awakener Level: 0>
<Physical test scores:>
<STR: 5>
<AGI: 3>
<STA: 2>
<SEN: 2>
After looking at the piece of paper one more time, he sighed before following after her.
They were done with the tests, all that was left was to sign up as an awakener.
'Before I didn't have the confidence to be a hunter but now… things are different. I'll be a hunter and then-'
Julius's thoughts were interrupted as the secretary froze in front of him after walking through the door.
Confused, he looked over her shoulder to see what had shocked her only to widen his eyes.
They were back in the hunter's guild main hall.
All of the hunters he had seen earlier, were knocked out. Those who weren't were groaning on the floor.
Only the dirty blonde haired hunter from earlier and the brown haired emerald eyed girl stood completely unharmed.
They were holding onto a bag of money.
"Oh~? There's another one. Do you want to attack me too or can I leave?" The dirty blonde hair hunter asked with a grin.
Julius who saw this let out a sigh.
'Looks like there was more to this unusual duo than i thought.'
