Thinking about it, Su Pan'er felt a pang of shame!
It must have been these past comfortable days that had put her at ease.
What she thought of doing, she did!
She instructed everyone to pick melons, then carry them under the cover of night to the foothills in a wicker basket. Along the way, she kicked awake the rascal pig that ate and slept, then slept and ate.
"Wake up! Work first, then eat when you're done!"
The rascal pig grumbled in discontent, about to roll over to sleep again. Yet, at the sound of Su Pan'er's heavy cough, it promptly woke up.
With an ingratiating smile, it replied, "Awake, awake! Hehehe, Pan'er, Pan'er, what would you have Grandpa Pig do?"
"You know perfectly well!"
Su Pan'er gave it a sidelong glance, "Hurry, follow along. Finish delivering these items before resuming your meal!"
"Alright!"
