As she couldn't switch seats, Shen Lan made the effort to distance herself from Cheng Yanqing, pretending not to recognize him and leaning away in the opposite direction.

Shen Lan was sitting in the middle, with a middle-aged man leaning towards her from her left. She found it a bit uncomfortable but didn't make much of it, trying to avoid any touch.

Cheng Yanqing, however, couldn't tolerate it. He reached across Shen Lan and pushed the man's encroaching hand back: "Sir, have some restraint and refrain from occupying other people's spaces," he advised.

Faced with a vigorous young man, the middle-aged man didn't dare to act recklessly and obediently withdrew his hand.

Shen Lan shot a grateful glance at Cheng Yanqing, which significantly improved her mood and prompted her to start a conversation with him.

"You're also going to Rong City? For business?" she asked.

"No business," answered Cheng Yanqing nonchalantly. "But, there's someone there."
