"No matter what, I will be here for you this time!" Chase said with determination, but he looked as gentle as a lamb.
Hazel heard it and felt that her heart wrenched for no reason.
If he had ever been as gentle to her as this before, she would probably still love him badly.
However, things changed. She had walked in the cold blast and got caught in the pouring rain. She was once helpless. desperate, and deeply hurt by him. So she had shut herself off and wouldn't trust him again.
It was difficult for her to open her heart to him again.
Seeing that Hazel was still in low spirits, Chase's eyes flickered as he looked at her with a smile. "I have good news for you!"
"What is it?" Hazel still looked depressed without the slightest expectation.
What good news could Chase bring her? It should be nothing more than him acquiring a few more listed companies or closing more big deals.
"Forget it. I'll tell you later when it's the right time!"
