Eternity rubbed her chin and stared down at the carpeted floor of the living room.
"I only know a few people, yet why do those few people all have parental issues?"
Both Evan and Freiheit raised their eyebrows at her.
"Evan, I understand," Freiheit said slowly before pointing at himself for emphasis. "but 𝘮𝘦...?"
"No, she's right," Evan said with an utterly serious tone. "You're one of us."
He scoffed, aggressively shaking his head in denial.
"Don't label me as if I'm the same as the likes of you!"
"But you are, Freiheit," Evan said in a low voice. "You are."
Before Freiheit could curl down on the floor and cry words of denial, Evan shifted his attention to Eternity.
"To answer your question, Eternity," he began. "You'd be surprised at how many fucked-up adults there are in this world because of how their parents failed them as children."
thank you so much to Phyllisna for reading my work until the latest chapter :((( It warmed my heart to and it gave me the motivation to continue writing even with my busy schedule due to internship and other graduating student duties that kept me preoccupied for while. Once again, thank you for giving me hope and motivation.
