'Ah, shit...' Alex thought...
He had dealt with a lot of events recently, and wanting to relish the little break he had for the last couple of days, but this just had to happen...
Seeing a two and a half story tall building monster, was not on his agenda today. That was all a glance from him had assessed. Essentially a giant annoyance...
He turned towards Jane, grabbing her hand firmly, "We need to run!" He shouted at her, prompting her to gather her bearings. Soon, everyone had caught the drift and quickly ran out of the café.
Alex looked around at how quickly the area had turned into chaos. Clicking his tongue in annoyance.
Without a second thought, Alex ran in the opposite direction with Jane, "We need to find cover!" he shouted again, his voice piercing through the disarray. Jane went wide-eyed, then quickly nodded without question...
After running for a while, they turned a corner, stumbling upon an entrance to an underground parking garage. He looked ahead, already seeing people huddled up in a corner somewhere from above...
Assessing his surroundings Alex thought, 'Good, I can use this to leave her here, she should be safe enough while I try to deal that thing.' he then quickly let go of Jane's hands.
Feeling Alex's hand gone, she looked behind herself "A-ALEX! WH-WHERE ARE YOU!" She shouted frantically, turning around, only to find that her friend was no longer in sight. The sudden absence left her momentarily disoriented, her eyes darting around in search of the familiar figure. Panic crept in as she realized she was now alone in the midst of the unfolding chaos...
Alex on the other hand, had already went back up in the surface.
'Think Alex, THINK!' He looked around the area, people were still running in the opposite direction, this was good, he could still somewhat blend in with the crowed and use that to his advantage.
He swiftly covered his face with his hoodie, then enhanced his speed just above what peak humans could achieve...
He couldn't just use all his abilities here and now, that was plain stupid, and would likely blow the already shaky cover he had at the moment. He looked around, enhancing perception to the limit.
Instantly, time seemed to have slowed to a crawl for him. He could think about all what he needed to for the moment. 'First, a good enough disguise.' He surmised... He looked around some of the buildings that were wrecked, looking for anything that could make him hide himself better...
Meanwhile, Jane's heart pounded with anxiety as she tried to make sense of the all this. Fear gnawed at her, and the surroundings only served to amplify her sense of isolation.
"MISS!-"

.
Jane swore she had seen someone get crushed under that monster's legs...
"MISS!!"
.
.
.
Even from afar she could, se how that person looked... Knowing that they would die...
"MISS!!!" She heard a voice scream.
She turned, only to see an officer, a bloodied one... "WE NEED TO LEAVE, WE CAN'T STAY HERE, THE PLACE IS GONNA COLLAPSE!!" He shouted.
She nodded, still confused about all this. She followed along where they were directing the group of people...

Alex dashed across the street with speeds high enough to seem invisible to the naked eye; His focus set on the nearby mask-stand up ahead. In a split second, with a single powerful step over the crowed, he arrived, grabbing whatever he could to cover his face.
'That takes care of that a little, but I'll need something more...' A mere mask wouldn't suffice; He knew needed a more significant disguise. Anything less, and people could recognize him too quickly. People couldn't have been so foolish that they wouldn't recognize him...
He scanned his surroundings, spotting a familiar glow of a clothing store he knew. He upped his speed once again, and darted towards it and entering. Once inside, he swiftly gathered the essentials to change his appearance - a blue pants, cap, and sunglasses.
Heading outside, he spotted the monster ready to tear through another building...
'Oh no you don't!'
Unfortunately on his way there, he could see and smell the bloodstains from people who were crushed due to whatever that thing's rampage...
He shook his head to get a hold of himself, 'This isn't your problem Alex... Just focus on stopping it...' He thought, convincing himself. Getting a more clear look, he spotted a glaring oddity on the monster.
'Why the hell does this thing, have a collar?' He questioned. But quickly charged ahead. He also realized that he wasn't the only one that was trying to stop it, Spider-Man was there too, but he only seemed to annoy the thing at best...
With one powerful lunge *Crack-Boom!* off the pavement, the concrete beneath Alex's feat buckled and shattered, and soon after, time seemed to have resumed. With a powerful leap, Alex charged up a massive right hook-
However, "-THAT WON'T WORK!" He heard someone shout. But it was too late, as he had lunged towards the thing-
BOOOOM~

"W-What?". Alex's punch practically had no effect. It's like his attack was completely mitigated...
'This thing... It has, shock-resistance?...' Already in the air, the monster seemed to have bugged from what seemed to be a done deal punch, and only just a little...
Then it roared, clenching its fists before smashing down at Alex, 'FUCK!' He grimaced. Alex reacted quickly, guarding himself; Expecting the hit would the worst case scenario. The monster crashed down.
All it's strength, and body weight causing the concrete to shatter under the force, destroying the road, as well as making the surrounding cars alarm...
Seeing all this unfold caused the hero to clench his teeth in anger, 'DAMN IT!!!' he thought. He shot shot his web-shooter, quickly maneuvering around in front of the monster, webbing its eyes as best he could, but as he did so-
"For something so damn big, you sure hit like a child." Spider-Man heard a voice, coming from the same place where the person who tried to help him was supposed to be dead...
Alex on the other hand, smiled under his mask, despite the creatures sheer size and mass, it's attacks were practically palpable in comparison to the hulk's own attacks, still, he knew it would be a bit annoying to deal with.
As the webbing obstructed the monster's vision, Spider-Man took a moment to assess the situation. The voice, although unfamiliar, confused him, 'That guy, he's, alive!?'
The dust quickly settled, revealing a figure standing confidently amidst the rubble, while holding back the monster. The very same person who had seemingly sacrificed themselves literally moments ago, now alive and well? Spider-Man's surprise was masked by the mask, but his mind raced with questions...
The figure approached, revealing a smirk beneath the mask. Realizing it would be best to create a persona, Alex quickly interjected, changing his voice a level lower. "Thought I was dead?" Alex quipped and asked, his tone was deliberate, and with a slight pang of amusement.
'H-how? W-wha? Yes!' Spider-Man thought, wondering how, whoever this was, survived that.
At the moment, Spider-Man was caught between relief and bewilderment, could only respond with stunned silence, what else could he do?
"HAARRRHHH!" Alex shouted, lifting the monster, then causing it to fall on its back. Spider-Man noted that whoever this is, was very strong.
He himself was having trouble even distracting the thing, yet what seemed to be a dude in a makeshift mask, a hoodie, and baggie pants was actually lifting the thing, and even made it flip over...
'Well, I'll take an help I can get...' He quipped to himself. Alex on the other hand without notice, dashed towards where spiderman was. Surprising the hero a little...
"Got a plan?" Alex asked.
Not really having the time to confirm his suspicions, and actually needing the help. Spider-Man obliged. "No... Nothing that touches that thing has an effect. It's like its body is essentially immune to blunt trauma, believe me..."
Alex simply shrugged, 'He's right; My punch barely did anything, and it's body does seems to be able to handle blows very well, I realized it the moment we had contact... But, my punch wasn't completely negated.'
"...I'll need you to distract it for a bit longer... That thing isn't totally unaffected by blunt blows..." Alex assessed.
"Wait, how-"
Alex interrupted, "Because it immediately stopped aiming at you and came to me, it seems counter intuitive; But, the thing lost aggression towards you the moment I hit it, as well as showing slight hints of pain..."
Spider-Man was about to argue, but thinking back, he couldn't disagree. In fact he was a little surprised by what this, or who he assumed to be a male, with that little time...
Not having much to comment on, and everything to lose, he agreed, "All right, I'll trust you on whatever you plan to do, because I-well, we don't have better options..."
Alex nodded under his hood, 'At least he's willing to trust me, I just hope my plan works...' He thought, "We don't have much time, I'll be back, just buy me some time..."
Alex hopped back down unto the field...
